I am grateful that Dad said Mom was responsive today and relatively pain free when he saw her this morning. She said his name, and when he told her happy birthday (it's today), she said December 17th; also had other appropriate comments. The most lucid she's been in weeks.

I am also grateful for the small makeup stain on the shoulder of my white holiday shirt. It came out very easily, and while I have to admit that initially I was a bit annoyed, I quickly realized I got it from so many hugs from my friends and their friendship means so much more to me. I am blessed.
-
Thanks 2_time_around, I am grateful that there is hope and

Foots, you are such a model for compassion and kindness, it is appreciated.
I am grateful for a wonderful day yesterday. Saw The Nutcracker and DH came with me, we went to see my Dad and took him to dinner (not at the dining hall), stopped to pick up some sweets for DH's sweet tooth, and no complaints the entire day. Sweet!

I am grateful for stores open late so I could get the perfect last-minute gifts.
I am grateful for a wonderful Christmas Eve day with DH, my Dad, DD and BF; that the last two got here safely through heavy traffic; that I started preparing dinner days before so I could spend less time in the kitchen and a day feeling happy.
Today, I am so grateful for my BCO friends, for a nice nap, leftovers, no kitchen duty and a very lazy day.
Edited to add: should waited till I checked out the kitchen before I wrote. Lol!
