Little Maddy, my little Maddy! Okay, so when you put on that Bag Balm, put on little socks! And sleep with them on... your little Balm-socks!
I still do that sometimes, but you know, like those folks in FLORIDA, who wear FLIP-FLOPS whereEVER, their feet are probably like tire-tread! Can't walk around shoeless or even WITH flip-flops! Your feet get like Alligator skin... See? That's why Alligators live there... with those people they think are their friends, because their feet resemble theirs!
You have to sand down your feet when they get bad... Just go out, and find an electric sander, and hold the bottoms of your feet up on that! Takes care of the WORST cases! Actually, just glue a piece of sand-paper in a little box, big enough for your feet. Now slide your feet back and forth, and you will have baby-soft soles in no time.....
I am just a wealth of information.
-
And did I hear someone say I'm also full of chit? It was Cammi! I just KNEW it!
-
The gators, and the others here are hibernating. Or have gone farther south, like the equator. I just may have to wear socks today!!!!!!! If I can find them. Bah!
Cami come back!!!!!!!
CHEVY, are you out burning up the roads in your new car? Figured it all out yet
-
Morning Spookers! You can't find your socks? What IS it there, 72?
I just sent Cammi an email! She is such a brat... but sounds like she is having fun this next week-end.... Probably meaning she is having another stripper party.... You KNOW how she is... She pretends she is extremely busy, with her phone-sex...I mean phone-job..... Whatever!
I have Asthma... so I stayed IN yesterday... just tired... But I took 2 Nyquil last night, and I have that Nebulizer...So about 3 times a day, and it is better... My whole chest hurts, from coughing... but I'll go in if I feel it getting worse... Doc called in a prescription for a rescue-inhaler... So we will get out today .... IN MY NEW CAR! Ha!
Yes, I have it all figured out now... Even the radio stations "saved" AND the CD player, with Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and well you know what older people like.... Ha!
I would put on Dancin' music, but DH prefers those oldie songs....
-
Raining like crazy here, so I'm staying in. Have been a bit busy this weekend and yesterday.
Got the two ornaments that I ordered yesterday. Princess's is a red and white kitty bowl with her name and the year. I had another breakdown over Charcoal's memorial ornament that I had ordered as I looked at it and put it on the tree.
-
Spookie thinks it's chilly today

and it is!!!!!!!! -
-
oh yes I have 2 of those file-a-foot things. Makes a disgusting pile of dead skin. I've like Gold Bond Healing Foot Cream; have one tube for hands too. My DM used to Vaseline her feet and put on socks. Chevy - she also used the sander some. I can't remember what size. I have also used the sander attachment on the Dremel. I think they might still make those mani things that have the wand with the sander. Speaking of feet today is pedi day. Might have to give up on polish though - too darned cold to wear flip flops even just coming straight home. Last time I had one temp was about 40 today should be closer to 60. Just have to make sure I have all errands done b4 I go if I decide on polish and take my flip flops with me.
Has been cold gray, dense fog this morning. Sun is actually out. Hopefully a bit of warmth today. Supposed to maybe pour down Sunday. We surely need it. Don't see any real winter in long range forecast. Spookie it's a whole 45 here. I hope we make it to 60 today.
-
Gotta start working on a cd for the car for hubby. He gets one from me and the "kids" every Christmas, Valentine's and his birthday and our anniversary.
-
Chevy, WOW Eddie must have been really young. Poor kid to have to go through that. A blessing he survived....................Chevy, you haven't had a bout of Asthma in 10 years? Those inhalers then are very old. Your doc called in an inhaler? Without seeing you? For a new onset episode with cough that causes the whole chest to hurt. Honey, doc sassy says-----go be seen. This is not characteristic of Asthma. You could have an asthma component, but the way you are coughing is more something else. The something else needs to be evaluated. Old noodle brain, please don't ignore me.HI1 IMAGINE
Didn't know about the vests. That was nice. He was to peaceful and trusting to wear one Himself I suppose. Do you have any memory as to what triggered him to buy those vests?2TA --roltflol and YAY another use for BB. Stinky , but affective. I'll be back shortly witth the one pic I found of the color and embroidery of the jacket. Thanks for asking. It's kind of like asking an alcoholic if they want a drink
Someone asks me about old stuff and I drink like crazy ( metaphorically).Jwoo with your interest in vintage everything and wearing vintage clothes, I was hoping you or a friend might have an interest in Chinese vintage clothes. I bought this for DS--GF. I know it's worth minimum hundreds more than what I paid. Don't want to sound cheap, but if it's worth thousands more, I may need to do something different. I paid 67$. It's breath taking. Dear cousin put it on. She's 5-8' Stunning. She's a perfect size 8
I think the puzzles answer is it's a man's costume
Chines women weren't that tall and none of their long costumes buttoned down the front. As soon as I saw it on my cousin that idea popped. Going to follow the breadcrumb. Wouldn't it be fun if it actually went back to the Tang dynasty. Mommy, again sorry about Charcoal. It'll be awhile won't it. Cry when you need, then hug Princess. HUGS
BBL DBF on a fly by for lunch
Fly bye done
LMG & Spookie-------cold, unknown temp.----sock,s sandals, pants, hooded sweatshirt--hood up, long fuzzy robe.....doors open---crisp gold air, blue cloudless skies.
Blondie, Pepper, susan, Blessings, Nettie, sorry if I'm missing anyone

-
Ok, mom fixed my hair! This is better, right?

-
lol spookie
-
Spookie Yes, couldn't tell which end was what LOL
-
Traditional Chinese frogs--button closures, this is the color, not sure the embroidery is the same., but it's similar. Sleeve is mid sleeve with reverse cuff(?). , ankle length on a 5-8' frame.

I swear I saw this very jacket on an actor in a batman movie where_________(acto)_ stayed in China along time. I"see' this costume on a person that befriends batman played by__________. It was after batman's house got blown up and he went away for years- Looses the girl.etc.found this: emphasis mine
Patterns are a special language and a branch of cultural categories. Profound ideological connotations are contained in the composition of patterns. Different patterns emerged as a result of differences in country, ethnic group and aesthetic taste. The traditional Chinese embroidery patterns were fostered on the specific foundation of Chinese culture, with its appearance and inheritance deeply affected by many factors in Chinese society, including politics, economy, religion, philosophy and folk customs. Among them, the decorative patterns in accordance with the traditional Chinese patriarch system and ideas are especially included into the system of rites, becoming a criterion to judge one’s social status.
Ever since the Zhou Dynasty, Mian Fu, the ceremonial robe for imperial officials consisting of a black upper part and ginger skirt, became a must on sacrificial occasions for the imperial court. The major means to distinguish the rank of nobility of the courtiers is to judge the ornaments on their garments. According to rites of Zhou, twelve ornaments are used on the garments, while the lower the official hierarchy is, the less ornaments will be used. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, ceremonial robes embroidered with different patterns were used to differentiate the official ranks, with civilians bearing bird patterns and military officer animal patterns. Among all traditional Chinese ornamental patterns, dragon is the noblest one reserved for the emperors, which is also regarded as the symbol of majesty.
As a carrier of national culture, the decorative patterns are inevitably under the influences of religions, which are mainly represented in three aspects: nature worship, totemism and genital worship.

Oh GOOD Spookers! I was going to ask that, but Sass beat me to it....
No Sass, it's Asthma.... I've had this cough ever since I was a little girl.... Only get it when I get Asthma... And there are no signs of infection.... We are going tomorrow anyway, for George to get his blood work, and I can ask her then, if I think it is getting worse.
But she called in a new Inhaler, and more of the solutions.... but they are sealed, and she said even if they were out of date, they should be okay, and I just know they REALLY work! They help a lot.... I can also take the Mucous Relief... My chest is only sore from coughing.... not my lungs....
AND I use the nasal-rinses.... They help a LOT! Get my hearing checked tomorrow.... So I am fine.... really I am!
My exerciser came! But I'll have DD help me put it together Thursday when we go to lunch.... I can't use it anyway, because I am feeling puny.
-

This is what it is.... to help my legs.... she said it would be better than walking...! Now I just have to get it together...
-
Yeah. Even hubby shed a few tears when he saw Charcoal's ornament we just got.
-
It will take time Mom2.... But it does get a little easier every month... You know she isn't hurting, or sick.. and that she is peacefully sleeping.... I have pictures of Lacee all over... And her special place on our dresser with her ashes... and toys...
-
Still feel him in the house every now and then. At least Jackson has accepted Princess without much fuss. Heck, he even lets Princess sleep on his dog bed!
-
Mom2, saw these and thought of you

Brag time! Tonight was Christmas concert. My DD, the music teacher. DS#1, in the tie. Yes, the liar. Was a cute show.

-
Spookie- You must be so proud. I miss Christmas concerts by kids... so fun!
-
Rose, I've always said that anyone that wants to rotflol, even if they don't have kids. Should go and see the first games of the youngest age soccer & basketball kids. I suppose that applies to the young 3-6 y/o's at different seasonal thingy's.Pee-wee football total different story , the parents were nuts. One walk through observing things. Both Greg and I agreed >>>>>>>exit stage left.
I was an older parent. DS was born when I was 34. I was 37 when I started to see these things. OMD laugh till you cry and pee.
Rose just go ...and see...and tell
