I am 43--just diagnosed with triple negative stage 1 grade 3. I have 5 year old triplets--and a 15 year old singleton daughter--- otherwise healthy..... Scared--- lumpectomy is scheduled for this Friday..... Followed by chemo and radiation.... Trying to remember to breath--but it's hard!

Good Evening & keep breathing!! Long deep breaths - very hard to do! The boards are sometimes slower on the weekends - but unfortunately there are lots of moms with young kids that will pop along in the next few days that are in a similar position as yours.

Surgery on Friday? Keep focused and get to and thru that day and you will feel better because you're moving forward. Well at least I did.

Glad you found the board - it's been invaluable to me.

    Hi Tripsmommy

you are certainly feeling so overwhelmed with these shocks that keep coming, and others around you are reeling from all this as well even if they have strange ways of showing it. just put one foot in front of the other and take each day as it comes, stay focused, get your sleep and remind yourself that this will pass. you'll get through it, you'll start your treatment, it sounds so scary, just the word chemo sounds so scary, but it's never been easier to undergo than in this day and age, I'm already on day 12 after my first round and it's not so bad, the side effects are what worry everybody but keep in mind that it's eliminating that pathology and the side effects are the signs that it's working.

don't get stressed out and be good to yourself, do things that are the most comforting to you, even in little ways.

Good luck and hugs and prayers to you
