Ruth, have a wonderful trip and enjoy your lunch with Wonderland!! Exercise yesterday was working and entertaining children at the after school program at our church! It was fun and there was lots of getting up and down from the floo
-
Ruth and Wonderland enjoy your visit, I know there'll be lots of laughing, sending you both big (((HUG))). Welcome Meow, they sure are very cute kitties. Teakie for arm flab you have to work your triceps, you can do kickbacks with weights or tricep pushups ( you place your hands directly under your shoulders for tricep pushups) or the tried and true old fashioned method where you take your arms out to the side, shoulder height and do little circles 10 forward and 10 backward.
I am having trouble at night posting from home on my iPad but I have been reading, keep up the good work everyone. I did Spin class last night, worked late Tuesday night so missed the gym and Monday night did Body Combat class.
-
no gym today but lots of cleaning and putting out Christmas decorations.
-
Good Evening Everyone and Hello to the new ladies!
I had a delicious Italian lunch with Ruth, her dh, and her sister! I have met her sister before and it was really nice to met her dh. We talked, laughed, ate, and shopped.
It was FABULOUS seeing Ruth again!!!
The Santa in the picture must exercise because he didn't have a round little belly.

Swam 3/4 of a mile today and more shopping.I love retire

Good night all.

Hello! As you see, Wonderland and I had a great time together!! For exercise my sister, her husky, and I took a long, long walk in the woods by her house. Loving the warmer weather and lack of snow!!! I don't know how to post pictures to BCO from my phone, so you are saved from a minute-by-minutes pictorial log of my trip

-
Great photos!
I went to a great yoga class today.
-
Glad you had a great visit Wonderland and Ruth and gorgeous pics, Ruth if you want to be annoying you can do what we did in San Francisco and send the pics to me and I'll post them for you Patoo hope you are doing better today.
Tonight a great hour of dancing in Body Jam
-
60 minutes of volleyball last night. Tummy wasn't quite right at 5am (likely due to the ingestion of and ENTIRE BAG of specialty popcorn around 10pm
) so I skipped the early morning class today and slept for another hour. DH will likely be hunting after work today so I may, no, scratch that, I will go to the gym then for some treadmill work.Nice photo Ruth and Wonderland.
NatsFan - we (DH,DS and future DIL) may be coming to Maryland for Thanksgiving next year! If we do, I personally plan to make a full week of it and visit Vinnie Myers in Baltimore to get nipple tats that Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. DD currently lives in Lexington Park but will be moving a bit closer to DC sometime after the first of the year. We simply must do a meet-up with you if possible!
-
Yoga this morning and MAYBE 9 holes of golf this afternoon.
-
Wonderland & Ruth, great photo! Mary, well done to you and DH on the weight loss. Good to read all active and welcome to all I've missed welcoming.
Have a had a challenging week with our internet connection, yet gym classes, yoga and running always a priority. Took a friend with me to Iyengar yoga yesterday at the village over - the hall on the hill with a sweeping valley view. She liked the teacher and focus that is placed on alignment, especially through the use of standing poses (with precise detail), although we did go do head stands but mostly a restorative class.
Today, freestyle step with hand weights and body balance.
Have a terrific start to the weekend everyone!
-
did zilch yesterday. Did 20 minutes of planks and abs the day before (but I made them count! Still have ouchy stomach!) today - back on track. Probably getting in the pool after I shake off this Zoladex headache (going into chemical menopause twice before you're 30 is sooooooo much fun! )
-
Another long walk in the woods with the dog
-
Ruth & Wonder - great pictures! Hugs to both of you! So glad you were able to get together - sound like a yummy lunch!
Sweet - absolutely we'll have to get together when you visit MD next year! I have Vinnie tats so I know his tattoo shop in Finksburg well - it's in the middle of nowhere and is a real tattoo shop - nothing fancy about it at all!
Odie - last chance to sign up for the Jingle All the Way 5K in DC this Sunday! DH and I will be there with bells on, literally - the race packet includes not only the standard shirt, but also jingle bells for every participant. Should be an interesting, noisy, fun run!
Teakie - when you start your upper body work, since you've had nodes out take it easy and build up slowly so as to minimize the risk of triggering lymphedema. Here's a thread with great info on starting/ramping up an upper body exercise program safely: https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/58/topic/...
Started seeing a PT this week for some foot/ankle/leg/hip issues - I had tendon repair surgery on my foot some years ago, and the surgery ended up shortening one tendon slightly, with the result that my rt foot pulls slightly to the side. It didn't cause issues at first, but as time goes on, I'm finding that being unbalanced like that is starting to cause issues all along the right lower body - nothing serious, but it's the kind of thing I want to address now while it's still relatively mild. I've had two PT sessions and can already feel the effects, so it's working. Besides beating me up in the sessions, I have "homework" exercises I have to do daily that beat me up even more. It's amazing how such small moves done just in the right way can be so exhausting!!!
-
Hugs Nats. Hope it stretches out for you over time. Ruth and Wonderland - great pics.
Bike, treadmill and weights at gym last night. Will jump on treadmill in a few while I watch Jeopardy. Busy this weekend so will see if I can sneak some exercise in.
Night my sculpted friends.
-
12/5- hard core cardio core with the kettle bells for one whole hour with the personal trainer this morning. That was a first to work with them an entire hour. Whew! Heading to a shop and stroll tonight that will easily get me over 10K steps for the day.
I learned this week two people I know were motivated to get a fitness band after seeing me with my Vivofit!
Ruth and Wonder, you both look maaavalos!
-
Amazing how much I missed not being able to log on for a day or two! Missed my exercise yesterday, but got in my stretching/toning and treadmill tonight. I was feeling very restless and doing some exercise helped that a lot.
Great pictures Ruth and Wonderland - looks like you had a great time!
-
30 minutes swimming and water weights
-
Did 1 hour on treadmill 3.5 miles. I ache all over but somehow it feels good
-
Lovely pics, Ruth and Wonderland.
I guess it's too late for me to sign up, Natsfan. That 5K sounds like so-ho-ho-ho much fun!
Yin yoga yesterday and zumba later today.
-
Yesterday 30 min elliptical -- hoping to get something in today.
-
Was slammed at work yesterday, so a 9pm 2 mile walk for me. Did my crunches and lifts too. Hoping for 20 miles of cycling today to get my overworked self back on track. - Claire
-
More walking in the woods with the dog
-

Ruth with her sister and beautiful fur baby
I did a very fun 5K this morning, will post a picture later
-
Very nice ruthbru. Long day with choir practice and then we sang at an indoor market in prep for concert next weekend.
Plan to jump on treadmill in a little bit.
Night my sculpted friends.
-
12/6- delicious 2 1/2 hour yoga workshop this afternoon.
-
No ride today, just a 5k run. But I did sign up for Run or Wine? in Woodinville next Saturday. 5k run followed by a wine tasting. That will keep me perky and should be great fun. - Claire
