Let's conduct our own study on how we all got breast cancer

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful....
Oops, sorry... I just meant to chime in and agree with the Skin so Soft... should've just gone with the nasty old Deet in the bug spray! Stupid, slimy skin so Soft...
-
was it really slimy??
-
Herbal Essence Shampoo. Neutragena soap.
Wait a minute, what are we saying. That the 70's caused breast cancer?
-
Can't be the 70's that caused cancer,,, I think more chemicals were developed in the 80's,, thus I will blame that decade!! There was much better music in the 70's than the 80's anyway. -
Thems fightin words Glennie. LOL The 60s had waaaaaaay better music I was there. Geeze! I'm an old fart! Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair. And Jimmy Buffett says No disco
Maybe it was all that tie dye stuff?
-
....or the flowers in our hair.

Making Christmas cookies....humm...it must be all the sugar cookie dough and sparkle sugar I consumed...or sneaking a shake or peak on packages...my sister was just too good and I was too naughty...:)))
Brady Bunch...ugh
-
There is great music in the 60's and in the 70's,,, not as much in the 80's. IMHO.And i will wear some flowers in my hair.
-
Miracles...Jefferson Starship...I Believe

I have long said that children of the 80's are brain dead (my children and their friends) so with that said, the 80's had to be the culprit. OR my dad used to complain about how strong the Charlie perfume was BUT you could smell him coming and it lingered after he left....can I blame it on cologne exposure????
-
Last on the 80's kids.... I was born in the 70's but raised in the 80's....then again, most of my tastes come from my Dad and are reminiscent of the 40's and 50's....
-
Gift Wrap! All that pretty colored paper, ribbons, bows. And scotch tape - what makes it stick and how did they make the tape invisible? Yeah, same way they made those little BC cells invisible until they attacked us and showed up in our scans.
-
anybody like the smell of scotch tape
-
maybe it was all the Christmas cards...yes, mama made me stuff, lick shut, and lick the stamp...humm and it taste bad too...
-
Hey licked all my envelopes to send out my cards... I'll let you know if anything comes up on my next scan. Lol
-
I loved the smell of scotch tape. And leaded gas. I sense a pattern here.
-
I loved the smell of rubber
-
I loved the smell of burning rosin-core solder when my ex had a shop...
-
OK, if smells can cause cancer, mine is the smell and taste of fresh homemade bread. Or maybe it could be from stuffing my face with it. Oh dear, I did that yesterday so I guess I'm heading for trouble again. J
-
Radical is onto something! The envelope glue could be it. I licked all my wedding invitations in 2004! I'm surprised I didn't end up like George's girlfriend on Seinfeld! And I lick all the Christmas Card envelopes too.
I could have also got it from my fav 80's perfume...Calvin Klein Eternity. When I was a kid though I was jealous of my little sisters strawberry shortcake perfume and I would steal it and put it on!
Plus I love to bake, so um loads of sugar, flour, butter....all the good stuff!
-
My dog smells like corn chips. Do you think there is a connection?? -
And who can forget the TASTE of phisohex. Impossible to scrub your face without tasting it. YEch! That's gotta be where the BC came from-Phisohex
-
Fresh bread? Uh oh. I'm in deeeeep. I was a school Baker. I made fresh dinner rolls for 600 students, daily!!!! The kids wouldn't eat them if they weren't perfect. So I deformed a few for me. With a pan of hot melted butter, oh, never mind.
-
Spookiesmom, my folks & sister are teachers. I have an old cookbook put out by the "cafeteria ladies". I make the "buns" regularly, but not for 600. Has to be Red Star to have the extra yeasty taste.
My sister & I baked from the time we could stand on a chair at the counter. I'm in big trouble...
-
I still have my recipies. The brownies were so good the kids would steal them
-
MMM, spookiesmom thank you so much for being one of the "good" cafeteria ladies!! Worth your weight in gold! At my school, someone was gifted with the best buns ever! In high school, I was always hungry! no money, though, or only enough to buy a piece of chocolate cream pie, while surreptisciously pocketing a deep fried burrito. Oh my god, I lived on them for for years! i think the "lunch ladies" looked the other way. Sometimes they would give me apples and bananas and oranges. They were so good!
I have an extensive collection of perfumes, and i will still not stop wearing them, my favorite is anything by Escada.
workwise, i love the smell of Bondo in the morning!
-
Kathec, I've been exposed to the luscious smell of Bondo as well...since mostly men seem to get that exposure, I wonder if you're on to something no one has picked up on?
-
Bondo is tremendous! I use it to patch wood and metal on houses, haven't used it on a car yet. I do use it in my art a lot though. It is chockful of volatile organic compounds, that reminds me, i better go get some! I think we used the last we had patching some dry rot at the bottom of an outside door on our house a couple weeks ago. And since they messed the whole thing up, and it is getting harder to find oil paint for houses, they will probably stop letting them make bondo, that would be awful! must...hoard..some now..
-
kathe....Bondo-hoarding... THAT is a new one!
-
Never heard of Bondo. Googled it and it's primarily for cars. Phooey, was thinking I could use on water damaged lower garage door but it's too extensive. Also looks like it needs to be mixed and so might cause BC.
