I love the mountains too and don't forget my friend who lives in the mountains of Tennessee keeps offering us her home which is 90 miles outside of Nasville, she's on VRBO and she rents it out all the time and there is a ton of room. Wonderland you certainly have much to celebrate.
Did Body Combat this morning with (sorry to do this to you Ruth on a blah day) the wonderful Eduardo, had to drive an hour north and there was an accident on the freeway so for miles it was a crawl, I was late but only a couple of minutes and as you can see I sure did work up a sweat

-
Cheryl, Eduardo tends to have that effect! You look great sweaty, better than me after his class.
Walked my 2.5 mile route this afternoon, in the mid-40's. Saw a guy in shorts and thought, dude?
-
Badger: I sent a pm to you.
-
Been keeping up with my stretching/toning and treadmill. I've been watching old episodes of Everybody Loves Raymond while I'm exercising. I still love that show!
badger - I lived in Wilkesboro from 1998-2007. We could hear Merlefest from our house! I'm about an hour from there now.
-
Wonderland, what great reasons to celebrate. Glad to see you enjoyed the holiday. Cheryl, you sure worked up a sweat! Great photo.
Glennie, great job on your turkey trot. Definitely a great way to start the holiday before feasting.
Walked two miles today plus vacumming.
-
Go Cheryl!
Started the day off with early morning yoga class with son.
-
Wonderland: got it and replied! Got to check time off @ work and also the budget.
mel147, you'd be welcome to join the fun if we do MF. Anyone else?
-
Badger,
thanks for the invite to join this group. As I mentioned in another post, I have lost my mojo--- always exercised-ran, biked, swam, weights--the whole thing... but somehow I have lost my motivation.... I did do a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving, but was not really motivated.... so maybe reading here daily will help? My plan for tomorrow is to use our elliptical trainer for at least 30 minutes and to call the personal trainer (I had a fitness assessment re-done in November) to set up the appointment where we decide on the workouts.
-
momand2kids, welcome! This is a great bunch. Do something every day, even if it's just a walk to the mailbox and back, and post it here. After a while, you may hear our Voices encouraging you when you don't feel like exercising. ♥
-
Lovely weather today,, so walked outside. 1.29 miles. -
Welcome Mom. Did RPM this morning then after an hour on that bike I totally undid my good work cause I came home and made myself pancakes for breakfast, you know sometimes you just get a hankering for something and this morning I just needed those pancakes
-
Finally got outside for a much needed walk

-
Beautiful pic Nash.
Did 1 hour mixed cardio/weights at gym after church.
-
Halftime @ Packers game. Sun peeked out this afternoon long enough to get me out for a 30-min walk.
-
Treadmill & toning DVD. We are under a wind chill warning until noon tomorrow and the actual air temperature tonight is supposed to be 20 below!!!!!!!

Welcome mom! Posting here every day will MAKE you exercise!
Cheryl, I would definitely feel less blah if I had Eduardo and that other hunky guy standing in front of me!!!!!!!!
-
Did about 2 miles walking in Marymoor Park next to the Off Leash Dog Area. A place of the most amazing joy as dogs cavort, swim, and generally have the time of their lives. Was so beautiful in the late November sun.
This because I live at the top of a HILL which is frozen over in black ice, made worse because it's too cold for snow melt to work properly. Of course, it refroze and made everything really icy and slippery. I explained the MIRACLE OF SAND to the building staff. (This is no joke, because few of the residents are as fit as I am, so a hazard about to happen and they could easily be sued.) Coming from Vermont, I find it amazing that in Washington State, they seldom sand steep icy hills. I offered to help sand the place.
I am back home doing work that I couldn't do earlier today because I left my power cord in the office, so retrieved when I did my walk. Best thing is that I got enough exercise over this holiday to be back on track....look fit, skin is clear, and brain works again. I even think I have vanquished the Internet Hex that was upon me. Now that one is progress! - Claire
-
Did another 5K on the rowing machine today. Add to yesterday and Friday, total 15K for 3 days. Plus an extra 1K each day for warm up and cool down. Working on the 100K Holiday Challenge!Keep up the good work, everyone!
-
Welcome to the group Mom! Soon you'll be hearing voices...LOL
Beautiful picture Nash. My Lord, that is cold Ruth! Stay bundled up.
Gorgeous weather here today so I took a 5 mile walk before making our own turkey dinner for leftovers. Will even use some of the leftover turkey meat for soup later in the week.
-
30 minutes of weights and 30-45 minutes of walking yesterday and today. Husband and I cancelled our gym membership as the weather is cool enough for much more outside exercise.
-
I have been out of commission since Friday with neck and back spasms and have not been able to do much. Felt better when I got up today and it was a balmy 50 degrees so I decided to try and go for a run. Only made it a mile and my neck and back were screaming at me. I had to walk the rest of my 3 mile route. Very frustrated...
-
Laundry and finish decorating the tree
-
Monday is laundry day for me too...hoping to get a yoga class in.
-
Hope you feel better soon Ginger
Core conditioning and body step at the gym this morning.
-
OK
I am getting over myself-got up and did 30 minutes on the elliptical.... will go back to my weight watchers meeting this week, brought all the thanksgiving goodies to the office for my students--- I know I just have to put one foot in front of the other--- boy do I have an attitude lately!! Thanks for the good thoughts. Scheduled to do elliptical and free weights tomorrow morning.
-
Ack!!! I'm four pages behind again!
Had a great Thanksgiving - took MTW off to make it a whole week and truly enjoyed my home time. We typically have a houseful (15-20) for dinner but this year it was just DH, DS, future DIL and me. It was lovely.
I heard the voices and actually made it back to my 6am group class today - YAY!!! But OMG am I outa shape - gads!
Knees are a little painful lately up and down stairs so I think it's time to get the foam roller out and work on my IT bands again. Love y'all!
-
Went to yoga, did some weights at home & will do Zumba tonight. I am trying to get a little extra toning in the next couple days because on Wednesday afternoon DH and I fly out to balmy (we hope) North Carolina to spend a week with my sister and family (with the BONUS FUN of having lunch with Wonderland on Thursday!!!). We will get in plenty of moving while there because they have a high energy Husky who will walk us, but any toning will have to be sneaked in; so I will try to get it done now, here, where it's too cold to be outside!
-
Ruth: Today is 72 degrees with a clear Carolina blue sky. Ahhhh. It will be in the 50s when you're here. That sounds balmy compared to what your weather is! Can't wait to see you again!
I will be doing some pruning in the yard that walk/run later today.
-
great picture, Cheryl with Eduardo!! And pancakes are just fine, for a treat once in awhile!!😃 spent 30 minutes in the gym this morning!!! Hope everyone enjoyed Thanksgiving
-
Did some yoga at home- short walk- perhaps gym later! Hope everyone had great holiday!
-
Just a quick check in after a wonderful week at the cabin - I've missed several pages during that time so I'm not up on the latest news from here at all. Just saying hi to everyone and will write more later!
Final tally for DH and my 10 week weight loss effort - I lost 10 lbs and DH lost 15. And he cheated like crazy - I didn't have a taste of chocolate all 10 weeks while he gobbled those little Hershey's bars like there was no tomorrow. NOT FAIR!!!! But at least I dropped a pants size back to where I was a couple of years ago. Now comes the tough part - keeping it off!
