Hi goddesses,
I am reading back but going back to bed in a few so will just comment on where I'm at...
(((ducky))) thanks for sharing your tradition and the eventual changes. It is sad when traditions fall by the wayside. It is probably time for you to let it go...but it would be nicer if you were "passing the torch" to another family member who would rekindle the special gathering. I hate change and fear being alone. but I have had to endure both and survived.
Hugs and prayers for you...(((Blondie))), I am glad you have "outlived" your holiday expectations. I do not understand family most of the time...but I do think that they want to think of you as always being there. I hope you find peace and strength for these days of both blessing and emotional ups and downs.
OK - tomorrow I will keep reading....thanks for being here, all of you!
-
Gma Foley, just read back about your beloved kitty. So sorry to hear...such a touching story. I hope you find peace and comfort in the memories. -
Poppy.. YAY.. So happy for you xx
-

Poppy, i did a happy dance for you!

Joan - Tigger was a dog but thought she was a kitty LOL. She had nine lives and used all of them. It started as a puppy and got into the bottle of DIL sleeping pills and ate all of them. To flying off the front porch after a turkey when we first bought this house. To combating Liver failure before I found out I had BC. She won that time but this last time with liver failure, she went down fast and no coming back from it. I'm better today and am starting to turn my mind to my upcoming surgery. Have a phone appointment with my PS today. That way, I wouldn't have to drive 3.5 hours both ways for a 15 minute appointment. Nice doc...

Though these might go nicely with your Turkeys :-)

Gma I am sorry I did not check back before I wrote. But you describe Tigger as a very unique dog for sure. It sounds like the name suited him well. I hope you keep focusing on the good memories.
I was on the road to Boston area where grandkids await. They will help me celebrate my BD with cake and sticky icing faces
I was born on TG (turkey jokes accepted) but this yesr BD was on Tuesday.
We got through snow and traffic and finally arrived.
Am grateful for each person here...keep the fire burning.
Hugs all around,
Joan
