Hi ladies

My wife has just been diagnosed,  2cm, no nodes, TN. She will be tested for mutations in BRCA1/2. She is also pregnant.

As well as supporting her I'm going on a personal anti breast cancer campaign and will be using my job as a medicial scientist to do this.

One study im setting up is to establish the significance of the BRAC mutations. If you want the science,  im going to use a method called CRISP-R to introduce the mutations into breast cancer cell models and healthly breast cells and look at the effects.  I will also make the protein in the lab with the mutations introduced to see what they do at the protein level.

Please could as many of you brave lovely ladies list your BRCA 1 or 2 mutations.

xxxxx
