Well crap. Not a group I ever wanted to join. Diagnosed a couple weeks ago with invasive bc stage 1. I have spent the past two weeks reading everything I can including this site and others. Thank you for the wealth of information that is provided here. Research tends to help me cope better. I have just scheduled my dmx for January 8th.

    Welcome, AnotherLifeExperience - sorry you got this diagnosis, but glad you found this incredible forum.

    Good decision, waiting til January for your surgery. Mine was December 5th (2011) and I completely missed all of Christmas. At least you will have plenty of things to keep your body and your mind busy until January 8th.

    I was like you - knowledge is power. This is a fabulous place to come, not only for information, but support. There is something for everyone here.

    I always wish I could work magic by refusing new members.  If I could say "No, you cannot join," and have it erase your diagnosis, I would be happy to do so.  Unfortunately, we don't have that power. So you're welcome to join the fold, research and learn, and be supported by an incredible number of women without MDs, but with experience and empathy. I wish you all the best in your future treatment.

    Thank you all. I have found this to be all consuming. No matter what I am doing I cannot stop thinking about it. My doctor is fine with me waiting until after the holidays for surgery.
