Only a glove?
I have been wearing a glove everyday since I got them last fall. The days I wear them with a sleeve my hand puffs up more. I will wear a sleeve on the days I'm doing more: cleaning, shopping, ... And of course when I eventually fly. I'll wear it too when my arm (tricep) is feeling heavy. But, again my hand gets pretty puffy. So, if not needed I don't wear the sleeve and my hand does pretty well with just a glove. Anyone else have this issue? My PT thought custom fit gloves ($500 each) would help but having been wearing mine for a week now, my hand still puffs, and even more than having a non-custom glove.
I know some ladies can get away with just a sleeve and not a glove?
I'm wondering if a lower compression on my arm might help give it some compression and support but not too much? Have any of you tried an elbow sleeve (Tommie Copper makes them)?.

You might have the wrong compression level. My first set was a heavier compression level and it caused my hand to swell more than double in approx. 45 mins when I picked them up. The next day, I went back to my LE guy and he ordered another set in light compression. So it was back to wrapping until the new ones arrived. The light compression has worked great since (4 1/2 years). We are each unique and some need different more compression, some less - me , I need less.
I'm not sure what custom costs but $500 for a glove sounds high. I'm sure some will have an idea. My garments are custom but I never see a bill for them. My care is through VA, so my LE guy orders me 2 new sets every 6 months and I just pick them up. Custom is the only option for me as my fingers are somewhat webbed so there is no way I can wear standard gloves. My arms are also quite long for circumferance so do not fit in OTS sizes either.
The fit might also be a bit off.
I've never thought to try a Tommie Copper sleeve (or the others copies that are on TV now). I need the appropriate compreasion level and for both hand and arm, not just the elbow area.
Just my thoughts/experiences.

I'm waiting to get more visits to my PT approved. I'll take the glove in with me for her to check out and tell her what's still going on. Thanks.

i also amhaving a difficult time finding a glove/sleeve ombination that works. It seems when I wear them my hand really ballons up. I tried a one piece sleeve/gauntlet but thhen my knuckles fingers and hands really swelled up. This was with the 20-30 compression which I think is the lightest????? Has anyone tried the sleeves that runners wear? And if so did they have any luck. I am running out of money trying different gloves and sleeves that dont work,
