Safe to get allergy testing with LE?

Does anyone know if it's safe with LE? I have been having a weird burning sensation in my mouth for awhile now but my doctor and dentist can't find anything wrong. They both said it could be burning mouth syndrome. But I've noticed it's worse with certain things I eat, like pasta sauce, spicy stuff, etc. It doesn't really feel itchy but sometimes it will a little and I get what feels like little inflammation spots. They always go away but the burning kind of stays. It usually doesn't burn early in the morning but does as the day goes on. Anyway, I thought about allergy tests but didn't know if it was safe with LE. I've heard the skin pricks are the most accurate for allergy testing as opposed to blood testing. Any advice is appreciated!

i heard that skin pricks are more accurate too. You can have the skin pricks done on the non affected arm or on your back.  Hoping one of those is an unaffected area for you.

Thanks Glennie!! I have LE on the upper right chest above my mastectomy scar, but it makes sense to get it done on the left arm. I just didn't know anything about allergy testing so I had no clue where they could stick you.

I've had it done.  They generally do it on the insides on your arm, or on your back.  So if your left side is the non-affected side,, I would think left arm would do it.  It might take more sessions, as they usually do both arms at one session,,but what the heck?  Take more sessions!  Wonder if you can try to narrow down the list of foods that you want tested,, by your reactions?

I had allergy testing after my first mx. They used only the unaffected arm. It was a bit difficult towards the end to find a spot (I have skinny arms) but they were able to do it. If I need it again I will have to have it done on my thighs since I've since had a second mx. Using your back isn't a good alternative if you're at risk on both sides since the entire quadrant is affected (includes back). If only one side is affected they can use the arm and the side of the back on the unaffected side.
