Clothes over sleeve

I've been diagnosed with truncal and arm lymphedema on the right side.  At this time, I am wearing a compressing sleeve, glove and a compression cami.  It doesn't matter what type of material is in my shirt, the entire shirt always pulls to the side of the sleeve.  Is there anything I can do to stop this?  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, sjellers, I'm curious what brand of sleeve you're using, as some are harder to deal with than others.

One suggestion would be an oversleeve, like the ones made by Warrior Wear:

But if you go for something like that do be sure to check with your therapist to be sure the fit is right and won't add compression in the wrong places.

Hopefully others will be along soon with their suggestions!

    Gentle hugs,
    Binney

Binney4 - thanks for your response. I started with a jobst sleeve and then they switched it to a Juzo.  I've had the same problem with both of them.

this happened to me at first but I got better at putting on tops. I put the head and good side on first and then put the leside thru the armhole from the top down, the le arm goes down thru the sleeve not up, you can arrange the sleeve so it looks straight. It will take time but you will figure it outi

I for one can't wear tight polar fleece or flannel as it sticks to my sleeve. If I wear long sleeves shirt, I make sure there is enough room in the arm sleeve. For cotton long sleeve tees. I put it on and arrange the material, pulling up on the tee sleeve a bit so there is some slack for when I bend my elbow, that keeps it from twisting for me.

For a coat I try to get one that has a silky lining. If your cami is cotton that might be making the entire twist and stick. Cotton is so comfy to. Dang!

    I have Jobst elvarex
