I am first of all thankful for my faith, that has carried me through my diagnosis, recovery and survivorship of stage one Cancer. I am thankful for my husband who has been a huge encouragement and support to me. Lastly for my oncologist. He has been patient, very caring, and so encouraging even with a scare of possible ovarian cancer.

thanks, mjjones453!

I am grateful for the BCO community! I never knew a lot about breast cancer before coming here and now I know so much more than I ever wanted to know..lol. This community is amazing and helps so many recently diagnosed women and men navigate the frightening world of BC and the treatments we must endure. So very thankful that I stumbled here after googling "microcalcifications" (which I had NEVER heard of) and now I at least know what is what a little bit more. Thank you for being here!

I am grateful for Inspire Health in Vancouver. I have never come across a group of such consistently kind, compassionate, funny and healing people in one place.
i am also grateful for my daughter and her sweetness
I am grateful for the women on BCO who, in spite of (or because of) their own fears about this frightening disease, take the time to ease the fears od others.
Happy Thanksgiving

I am so very grateful for modern medicine and the "heads up" prognostication skills of the fine doctors at Mercy in OKC.
I am grateful for the people (mainly women) who came alongside me, with no judgement and no solutions, in my darkest hour, and were "just" there.
I am grateful for whatever time I have in this life and the ability to spend it with those I love.
-
I am grateful for this site and for the ladies in the November 2013 chemo group here who helped me get through it, and some of whom have become, no doubt, lifelong friends.
I am grateful for my husband who was with me 100% every step of the way, and though I wish I'd never had cancer, I'm grateful that some good did come of it: I now know how much he loves me, and HE now knows that he's an excellent man in a crisis. He is Superman.
I am grateful for my family and friends that were so supportive and loving to me, and most of whom were smart enough to not expect me to have a constantly positive attitude, lol. They let me be The Me that I was through treatment, and loved me, regardless.
I am grateful that I had/have doctors that I have absolute faith in and who take the time to listen to my concerns and answer my questions and take my preferences seriously and sometimes just sit and chat with my husband and me. One doctor in particular, my MO, has moved mountains for me where insurance is concerned.
I am grateful for all the nurses, techs, etc., 99% of whom have been knowledgeable, likable, and who never once treated me like I was "just another patient," but rather made me feel like me and my health was their main focus when they were with me.
I am grateful for all that modern medicine has had to offer me.
I am grateful for the best of all treatment side effects: I'm alive.
I am grateful that my husband took out an Afflac cancer policy for me just MONTHS before my diagnosis.
I am grateful that I have enough hair now that it looks like I simply WANTED a short and curly hair-do. :P
And last but far from least, I am grateful for my two dogs and my cat who kept me company during the days when my husband was at work and I was going through surgery recovery, chemo, radiation, and then surgery recovery again. They rarely left my side, and I love them dearly.
-
I am sooo grateful a friend told me to come here when I was hysterical that my first BS made a mistake on my path report.
Since 2010 I have met the most wonderful sistas in the world
They became my rock
I'm also grateful to U the mods.
Where would I be now without BCO?
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL

yes, thanks to all the folks who have helped to educate me and to keep me positive
I am grateful to live in an area with lots of great docs who I can turn to for help.
grateful that I was able to retire at 65, maybe not a rich retirement with travel and such but a retirement away from stress and worry
Oh yes, grateful for my wonderful caring neighbors who drive me to appointments when asked and check up on me if I do not appear at my door when they think I should! -
First and for most I am extremely grateful for my husband, without him with me every step of the way I'm not sure I would have made it. Next I am grateful for my daughter stepping up and taking care of my daycare, without her I would have had to close and that would have put us in financial ruin. Also, I am grateful for my other 2 children who helped out around the house and were just there if I needed something. Also my dog Bristol who kept me company while I recovered from my surgeries and gave me a reason to get up and get moving. Lastly, my PS who gave me a finished look that I can deal with and making me feel comfortable in a very uncomfortable situation and BCO for giving me a place to come and learn, vent, and get advise with no judgement.

I am grateful to know in this community we are never alone in our side effects and treatment, someone understands. I am so Grateful for the support of My Lord Jesus who sustains me.
I am grateful for a loving, supportive, wise and discerning husband. He always knows what to ask my dr. when I forget. He helps me to laugh.... I have a great supportive group of faithful friends---two of whom are in this same battle as I am (stage 4) More later ....I am Blessed by so many people.
-
I am grateful for being able to wake up every morning, see the sun, or the clouds, or simply the light of day-- and so far, being seen by all medical personnel as "unremarkable".

I'm grateful that I look normal once again - at least with clothes on. Still think I look like a freak naked, but I'm grateful to be alive. I'm grateful that surgery was all it took to get all the cancer - yea for clean margins! Grateful that saying no to chemo or radiation turned out to be a good thing for me. I'm grateful for the technology that made reconstruction possible.

I am grateful for all the big things, little things, happy things, and even sad things that have happened since my diagnosis almost eight years ago. I am just grateful to be around to experience them. LIFE!
-
We are all grateful to those who gave their lives and often health in conflicts. Around the World the date 11/11 has this significance of remembrance for the fallen. "Lest we Forget".
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them. -
After my final surgery (RIght breast reconstruction) last week, following a whole year of diagnosis of Stage 1 breast cancer and subsequent surgeries, including a left breast masectomy, I have so many things to be grateful for today.
To sum up, I am grateful for: my wonderful supportiveloving husband; my family and friends who walked in Making Strides fundraiser and helped me raise $4,000. My colleagues who always kept in touch with me when I was home recuperating and welcomed me back with open arms; to my wonderful plastic surgeon and her nurse who pulled me up from the depths of despair; my kitties who cuddled with me every morning;to my belated dog Dazzle, who always slept by my side; to being able to adopt a new dog from a shelter; to sunshine days in my backyard; to waking up every morning--to being ALIVE and looking at life through a new kaleidoscope of optimism, faith and love. Thank you God for blessing me with a wonderful life everyday!

I am grateful for my diagnosis. It has given me the opportunity to be a more compassionate and humble person.
I am grateful for all of my providers. From EWBC to Rochester General, to Southern Tier Oncology, they have been exemplary.
I am grateful for my sister. Without her I'd be lost.

before cancer I hated my hair (stringy, thin) after cancer Im grateful for hair, my own stringy thin hair!
before cancer I used to complain that I hated my job, after cancer Im grateful that I am healthy and feel good enough to work.
before cancer I thought my hubby didn't help enough around the house, after cancer I am grateful for how supportive and loving he was (and is) and for keeping the household afloat during months of treatment
I am grateful that I now don't sweat the small stuff anymore and everyone says that my type A personality had become a B!
I am grateful for BCO, my beautiful family and my friends (and my pa watching over me from above)

I am grateful for having discovered this forum! I'm grateful for the love of family and friends, but most of all my partner - he reminds me of my own strength and is unwavering in demonstrating his love and commitment to me and my health. I'm grateful for having signed my work contract and started extended health benefits 23 days before my diagnosis. I'm grateful for Dr. Anita Tannis, MD and integrative doctor who has balanced my hormones and referred me to an oncologist who will listen to my needs and not push conventional treatment at me when my intuition is screaming that it is not what my body needs.
I'm also thankful for the gratitude that has arisen as a result of my diagnosis.
