Wilsie, I'm so sorry to hear about your new dx. I hope whatever tx is decided will be one that is easy on you and really hard on the cancer.

I got a call yesterday late from the doctor who performed the colonoscopy....I do NOT have colon cancer! He was so sure I did on Tuesday, that he told me it was just a matter of waiting for the biopsy to come back to determine the type of cancer and treatment options. I had four really awful days of thinking I was going to have to deal with more cancer, but many prayers were answered, and the biopsy negative. I do have bowel issues to deal with, and have to be on a low fiber diet forever, but that's a piece of cake! Thanks to all for your support and prayers.

Wilsi - so happy for you. That doctor should have not said anything until the lab results were back, made you have 4 awful days. But then there would not have been so many prayers lifted for you. Anyway still so happy for the outcome.

Lisa - as always I love you pictures and the collages you make are wonderful.

Chrissy - glad you are having such a good time. hope the knees are doing well for you now.

Hugs and love to all AJ

AJ is in da house!!! Yay!!! I was soooo happy to see the pics of your with Barb down in Florida AJ........you are looking mighty fine I may say. I also know that looks can be deceiving and this year has been a trial for you. Keeping you in my prayers that your newer treatment does wonders and you latest scan is clear.

My first knee replacement is so good now that I barely notice it but the one done six months ago still has a ways to go but it's getting there.....lol.......but lets just say roll on May 2015?!!! I say that but really, the walking is a LOT better and there is very little pain now, just more discomfort if I'm on it too long or walked too far.

Wilsie, you can stay on that cloud 9 for as long as you want.....lol......it's a great place to be!

I'm heading down to the city tomorrow (Monday) for an overnight sleep study, not sure what it will find but hopefully an answer to why I need to sleep for ten to twelve hours a night and then feel like I could do with more....sigh....if it's not one thing it's another and all we can do is explore all avenues and hopefully get some answers.

Take it easy all and enjoy your weekend!

    Love n hugs. Chrissy

AJ, it's so good to see you here! Like Chrissy said, the pictures of you and Barb were wonderful and you both seemed to be having such a good time!

Chrissy, good luck with the sleep study, which is probably over by now. If the results show sleep apnea, I'm your girl. This is my 10th year using a Bi-Pap machine and I find the benefits to be invaluable.

Lisa, someone on another thread mentioned that today was the marine corps birthday and to wish marines we know a happy birthday.

I'm glad Barbe has moved into the new house.  I wish she would fill us in on whether she has sold her old house.  I'm looking forward to pictures of the new home.

Hi girls! I'm finally home!! Phew! What a busy couple of days.....lol. I had to drop my laptop off at my friendly tech as I got a virus that I couldn't get rid of so needed their expertise, then went to the sleep clinic to be 'wired up' (yeah, sounds weird.......lol) and then back to DD #2 for the night......and oh! what a night!!! I was really tired so thought I was ready for bed when DD went at 9.00 PM, lights out at 9.30pm..........lights on at 10.30pm (no sleep in between), lights out at 12.30am and I thin k I dropped off about 1.15.......I couldn't believe it when my eye just flew open at 5.30am!!! Yes, I said 5.30am! I couldn't believe it as I fully expected to sleep until at least 8.30am seeing as how I couldn't get to sleep to begin with. Anyway, de-wired myself and dropped the equipment back to the clinic and was told that I wouldn't get the results until I see my doc of Dec 4th.....that's okay as the more I think about it the less I'm liking the idea of a c-pat machine.

I then headed off to visit with another couple of BC ladies from our local group. We had planned a morning tea but that morning tea ended up extending until 3.30 this afternoon! It was such a lovely day with loads of laughter shared as only BC sisters can do. When I left there, I rushed back to my computer friends to pick up my sick laptop and ended up back at their place for dinner and a little more work on the computer before it was finally in good enough shape for me to bring it home........as I said, Wow! What a busy couple of days......lol.

Lisa, Happy Birthday to the only U.S. Marine I l know!!!

Wilsie, thanks for contacting Barbe for us and for letting us know that she is okay. I guess she is probably exhausted after the move and if she is already painting I fully understand why we haven't seen her.

    Hi to every one else!

    Love n hugs all! Chrissy

hi from sunny FL. Lisa I saw some of those little birds that stand around on one leg. So cute. Today was sunny so were at the beach, hot tub, and then the pool. Lots of fun. I am working hard to not get too much sun.

Wilsie, what great news. Your doc on the other hand, leaves something to be desired.

Thanks for the news on barbe (and barbe)

Chrissy, I had to have my sleep study at the sleep center and I got a mild sleeping pill called Sonata. You may have had enough sleep to determine if you have apnea, but it's a shame you have to wait so long to get the results. Really, CPAP isn't that bad and I absolutely cannot sleep without my machine, unless upright on the sofa. There's a thread for CPAP users here too. But, you may not even have apnea at this point.

Nancy, enjoy being in Florida! I'll wish I were there Thursday when it's supposed to be really cold here--lows around 27F!

We found out today that DD and SIL are having a boy. And I was so sure it was another girl! She and SIL, his parents, and DH and I went out for lunch after the ultrasound and DD had a Hershey bar face down on our menus. We all turned them over at the same time and the letters HE were colored in blue! How cute is that!

Glad to know Barbe's okay. I miss her and hope she'll come back when they get settled.

Kathy, I'm hoping that I don't have apnea as I'm claustrophobic and that little mask would be the end of me. I did ask if there would be enough data with such a short sleep time and was told yes as they really only need a short sleep to establish the pattern...........thank goodness as I really couldn't imagine having to do it all again!

Just taking it easy today as is my norm after getting back from the city.......hopefully tomorrow I will have a little more energy.......lol.

    Love n hugs all! Chrissy

Chrissy, I use "nasal pillows", which fit under your nose, The only headgear is a strap to hold them on. Very unobtrusive, and no facial contact except for straps on each side to hold it on. Hope tomorrow you'll get back to normal!

Chrissy, my SIL has just started using his c pap, and he feels so much better with good sleep, that he is a new man. So it's a good thing, if you have to do that direction. They have lots of styles of head gear. Wilsi

Wilsie, winter is arriving in the deep South, too.  We're supposed to have freezing temperatures tomorrow night.  The Hershey bar story is so cute!  How can people be that clever and imaginative?

Cold is here in Birmingham. Went to James Taylor concert last night, it was fabulous! Got home 11:15, waaay past my bedtime, feel kinda rough from so much walking and sitting for so long, but worth it.

Lol, you girls are complaining about the cold and I'm complaining about the heat! Yes, the air conditioning had to go on yesterday and my lymphodema was the worse it's been for ages. I think summer has arrived in all it's glory!

Not doing much at the moment but I really must start thinking seriously about what I'm going to pack for my New Zealand trip. I'm going over for a get together of some of the Aussie girls and some of the New Zealand girls and also I'll be staying for a few days with Aly. I have decided to travel light so I'll only be taking a cabin bag so packing will have to be very precise.....lol.

    Stay warm girls!
