ducky - Good for you. Glad you are feeling better already. Quality of life trumps that stupid pill especially with the low recurrence percentage.
Poppy - One more chemo - you can do this. Then let the healing really begin.
Sorry I have been MIA. Against my better judgment I started working again. It will be just for the winter months. I so got used to doing what I wanted when I wanted. Next summer is going to be one long vacation.
-
Maybe the tide is turning for us, and the good news is surfacing........we're a hearty bunch of "great friends, and we never give up,or give in..............when I first began this trip with cancer I use to have a saying....................
"I have cancer......it does not have me"......I still live by that...........no one or nothing chooses my destiny but me........not Dr.'s, not cancer, not people................ME..........
-
yes we have choices and Ducky u made the right one
-
Feel good today......of course I'm worried about the outcome, but enjoying feeling more like myself.......I made the decision already that I will not go on Falslodex.........researched it completely, and don't like what I read...........so I am happy with the choice I made.............hugs to everyone who encourages me here.....your my rock...........
-
This is so true.......and I'm not italian, just adopted into the family...........
-
Worry bout 1 thing at a time.
-
Blondie........your right.....one day at a time......thanks for the reminder......hugs
-
Italian is a way of life! We are loud and opinionated, talk with our hands, cook too much food and eat it, too!
You don't have to be born Italian to be considered Italian and part of the family (my favorite part)!
Glad you are doing well, Ducky!
-
Ducky, I know this has been a tough decision for you. The
good news is nothing is ever set in stone.I’d take this month and enjoy the
things you haven’t been able to do. Try and keep the decision out of your mind.
Once the month is over, you’ll have a good before and after comparison.
At that time you can re-evaluate. I think you may have a clearer picture if the
risk is worth the improved QOL. You’ve been in so much pain for so long, it’s
really good to see you finally feeling a bit better. Gentle hugs.BTW - Love the Italian thingy!!
-
of course she did the right think
We beat this thing to death with those damn pills
Yeah if ur young shoot with all U got
We need QOL now....
I wanna give U a big hugggggg
Now maybe U can come and visit
I'm Italian...and I cook...still have stuff that's not GF..
Blondie---lady of a few words..those few word R very wise
-
Honestly, if it was me.....I wouldn't hesitate to go off of them. I've made some treatment decisions that many wouldn't have for better QOL. I would personally choose quality over longevity any day. We are all different though.
-
but I want some italian friends!!!!
-
U have Italian friend Kath
Me,slow and Ducky is Italian by injection
Don't no if there is anyone else
If so speak up!!!!!
-
I have Italian friends. Because they are older and their son works a lot, hubby and I go over to their house to help them occasionally with prepping their yard for winter and helping them plant their garden in the spring. They insist on cooking a meal and sending home some of it with us so that we don't have to cook one night.
-
Italian ppl never no when to stop cookin
-
nope.
-
....I....have.... Italian friends!!!!! I just thought you all were extra special! Who knew!!
-
we r extra special
Come to PA for THANKSGIVING
I'll show u how we do it here...
-
I'm only 1/4 Italian genetically, but I consider myself Italian because of my Italian grandparent and the way I was raised. I show love by cooking and feeding people. We can't help but talk with our hands... and it can get loud. But we don't argue much.
-
I talk loud
And
I talk with my hands
And a good conversation can end up hot...
-
You are all loud and wonderful. Do have some crazy Italian friends here and DH wishes he was Italian because he loves Italian food. Have friends just like those on Ducky's list but they are not Italian just crazy. Hope I am like that. Just love having friends over, cooking for them, and sitting round the table putting the world to right. Best sort of a gathering.
Trying to think about Christmas presents. Just want to get them done. It is supposed to be Spring here but still not very warm.
Big hugs.
-
Alyson, I believe you are an honorary italian, by nature! And poppyk too!
-
So true.......when I have any gathering.......enough is never enough.........99% of the time you will never find a gathering done by someone Italian, or adopted into it that ever runs out of food...................that is a cardinal sin and Lord help the person who does........
Trust me....you will be the talk in the car on the way home..........and the next day too.........LOL, but we are so sneaky we act like we like your food even when it is horrible and then eat before we go to your house when invited again................LOL.............
-
not to get off the Italian subject
BUT
Next Sat.will be a year that veggy past away
I'm gonna make stuffed peppers on Thanksgiving to honor her..she just loved them
Of course I can't eat them but my family will gobble them up
-
Love u fire Hugs
-

I'm havin problems with this site again
I just went down to smoke and I saw snowflakes...grrrrrr
-
I am a lousy photographer so this is kind of blurry. I took this today with my phone as I was waiting at deli counter. I didn't know where else to post it, I suppose it doesn't need to be cooked in the bonfire, but I'd like to throw it in anyway. It is chicken breast, specifically boneless and skinless, ready to be sliced with pink decorations including two breast cancer pink ribbons and an american heart association sticker too. Somehow chicken breasts will never taste the same to me again.
-
throw that pink shit into the fire
Focktober is over
They r PINKWASHING
Welcome Jelson...if u find more bring it here
-
Yep pink shit in the fire
-

What a brisk morning it is
