I found out I have a radial scar and they want to remove it, if it is b9 couldn't they just recheck in a few months instead?   I got a copy of pathology report and it said Proliferative fibrocystic changes with radial scar, extensive sclerosing adenosis and mucinous spherulosis. Hoping someone can help me understand what this means.

 Thank you for help

Bachambault,  Seems to me that you have a lot of "junk" in your breasts and that it is a good idea to remove it. I had a lumpectomy to remove a small lobular carcinoma and my doctor went ahead and removed the area of sclerosing adenosis that the MRI guided biopsy found as well.  I was happy to have it gone!

Ask your surgeon why he/she wants to remove it.
