Dear Almom, Welcome to the BCO community. We are sorry that your worries have brought you here but hope you can find some support and encouragement. We suspect that while you are waiting to hear from others here most would probably be interested in what your oncologist is suggesting to you with regards to the elevated liver studies. Have you learned anything more from your medical team that has been helpful or not. While most here can share personal experiences they can't really diagnose symptoms or study results. Keep us posted. The Mods

Hi! I would ask your dr to scan your liver if you are worried and he/she doesn't suggest it. It could be something unrelated to cancer too, so perhaps a referral to a specialist is in order if your dr can not diagnose why it's elevated. Four months elevated seems long enough! Time to get to the bottom of this!

I totally get that worry about the liver! I just had a scan today for mine and am on pins and needles waiting for results! Remember you are not alone, there are others going through this too! And whatever it is, you can handle it! You have already been through so much, and have been sustained thus far, you will press on and get through whatever this is too! And you are stronger now, more knowledgable and able to have a new outlook on life. Hang in there! It is tough, and it's scary but we are all in this life together.

Mine are elevated too but an ultrasound showed it to be fatty liver. Nothing to worry about. I hope your results are similar. Take care.

After 2 years of lurking around on these boards, I have finally joined ALL you wonderful Ladies.  This site has been a blessing during my journey but today I decided to join because I just got a call from my DR.  My liver enzymes are slightly elevated and she wants me to do an liver ultra sound and sustain from alcohol and Tylenol use for 2 weeks then return for more blood work!  I'm over the top with fear but staying positive.  My last chemo was 08/01/2013 and last rads was 10/10/13.  Almom, please follow through and at least get an ultra sound.  Good luck.  Hope others will post on here for both of us!

My liver enzymes have been elevated twice - once when I was taking tylenol (post surgery) and I once when I had just finished antibiotics - and my level was higher than yours. Both times at my retest the level was back to normal.

tamoxifen has given me fatty liver and my enzymes have been elevated for two years now. After 8 months of elevation, I underwentall the liver testing that showed fatty liver. The docs never seemed too worried about mets.

I may have posted in the wrong topic as I am not triple negative just concerned about the elevated liver enzymes. Mammalou thanks for posting about tamoxifen. I was wondering if that could have caused anything. My AST is 223 and ALT is 92. As you can see they are quite elevated. Wow. Hoping to have ultrasound on Tuesday.
