Wednesday Weigh In

pat01, will he do loseit.com? Won't cost him anything and he doesn't have to "track" his food, just log it. It will count the calories and give him more if he adds exercise. Maybe get him to try that before committing to WW.
Wren, I bounce around the same 3 lbs so hoping that getting back here among other places will start me back going down again.
I'm down a few ounces but won't post a starting weight until next Weds.

I suggested loseit to him last weekend, but he didn't seem that interested - you know, you have to tread lightly with weight loss suggestions, even though they are coming from me out of love. He was initially motivated by a photo of him at one of the wedding events that sort of exaggerated the size of his gut. I notice he's trying to cut back on bad for him things, and he has also talked about going to a nutritionist, which is when I brought up weight watchers. Thing is, most of the time he is a very healthy eater, it's portion control that is his real problem. I'll mention loseit again to him this weekend.

I am so mean that I told DH he had to do something about his expanding waistline, or else I'd have to crop future pictures so his stomach wouldn't show!
-
Down one pound this week
-
Stayed the same at 131. Would be nice to lose, but staying the same has merit also.
-
Down 2, but still have 2 to go to get to my pre-vacation/company weight (which was too heavy to begin with)......just had some dental work done, so that should slow me down for a few days anyway!
-
Stayed the same at 153.5
-
Darn good thing I posted yesterday. Up 2 lbs today.
-
Gained two back but hoping by next week I'll lose them and more!

Hi ladies
Not sure how this thread works. Are we only supposed to post weights on Wednesdays? Because if so I've clearly missed the boat for this week.
Anyhow, I've been reading for a while, and half an hour ago, after weighing myself and finding I've gained 6lbs in a week (yes, you read that right!) I've decided I need a kick up the jacksy and a lil bit of support in ridding myself of these extra pounds, plus a few more besides.
So, the fun begins today, though I wont post any loss or gains until Wednesday.
I hope you ladies don't mind me joining you here.
Wishing all of you healthy and productive days
W xx

NO, you don't have to post your weight at all (unless you feel that makes you more accountable); just losses (hooray) or gains (boo).
-
My weight is the same as last week -- no loss, no gain.
-
Back down to the original 14 lbs I lost. Lost those two pesky pounds i had regained.
-
Up 1 to 132. I'm going to blame comfort eating after my car committed suicide in the middle of very busy traffic. Now I'll have the stress of car shopping for a used car.
-
Wren, that excuse works for me!
I came home from our summer "up north" in MN about 6 to 7 lbs heavier. I did well in July and August when we stayed in one place and I got a lot of exercise, biking, playing golf, and walking. But we started moving around and visiting relatives in Sept. and did a lot of eating out in restaurants. And did much less exercise.
Today I was down 3 lbs from 2 weeks ago, which still leaves me 4 lbs over WW goal weight. I will start back to WW meetings as soon as I have a Mon. morning free. My meeting that I like is on Mon. morning. I'll continue to try to lose down to goal. If not, I'll have to pay. I've been paying for the online WW and haven't been going to the site. It will be free, too, once I go to a meeting and weigh in at no more than 2 lbs over goal.
-
Carole, How do they set your goal?
-
You set your own goal weight within the healthy range for your height and age. My stated goal is higher than my "real" goal that I'd like to reach.
-
down one pound since last Wednesday
-
153.5 this morning, same as last week. Surprising, since it was my birthday weekend, and I celebrated on various nights with cake, ice cream, pie, and cannolis!
-
Down one this morning, but had some friends over for breakfast, so luckily I weighed first!
-
Down .5 to 131.5. Imagine my distress on Monday when my scale said 144.5. Then it said 210.5, so I knew it was having fun with me.
-
Up 1/2 a pound today to 154. First gain since the beginning of september, even though it's not much it is this time of year that I tend to pack on all the weight I lose the rest of the year. So a wake up call for me. Dealing with a family issue, so stress eating and drinking too - and no gym. Need to get back on track here, was just fitting into clothes I hadn't worn in years.
-
Hello Ladies,
I am going to join you here since I piled on the pounds due to post surgery inactivity and have to do something about it.
I had a BMX, followed by an infection, a never closing wound, an implant removal and now a seroma. 4 months of inactivity and confort eating, and I am a whooping 170. Goal is to go back to 154.
I started eating healthy this week, no carbs and will start pilates classes today. Still can't exercise as much as I would like because, well, seroma and open wound but I am determined to get back to feeling ok with myself. I can't change the missing breast part, but the rest of me can look better.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
-
Welcome Theda! If you want to have some exercise buddies, check out the 'Lets Post Our Daily Exercise' thread. A great group of ladies, exercising at all levels, in all stages of treatment & beyond.
Down one (if I posted yesterday, I could have said 'down two'......sigh, slow going!).
-
Thanks Ruth!
Will join the exercise thread after the first class, will see how it goes first
-
same weight as last week
-
I still don't believe it but my scale this morning said I was down two to 129.5. I'm steeling myself for tomorrow when it goes back over 131, but it was a very pleasant surprise today.
-
.....I want to borrow your scale, Wren!
-
I weigh the same as last Wednesday. At least I didn't gain!
-
same also
