Looks like this weekend is going to be a great one to kick back and have a Leinenkugel's while watching college football!
-
So sorry you had to do this FK. It sounds absolutely miserable. Hope it lets up soon.
-
Fire take care of yourself please.Hi everybody!!
-
Sorry Kracker....must be so frustrating.
Edited to add...hi to you too Blondie.
-
Wish they would have found something to fix for you, FK. I know how it is. Very frustrating. Sending you hugs.
-
((FK)) as if you needed another reason to hate Pinktober! My last mammo was in Oct '09. Everyone who had a mammo that month got her name in a drawing for a lovely gift basket. You know what I got and it wasn't the prize. So Oct isn't that good for me either.
Into the fire with pain and fear and all that poop. Burn baby BURN!
-
Like to throw hubby into the bonfire today. Every day this week since Monday he has told me to go Dunkin' Donuts and get an iced coffee and a muffin for breakfast to which I say "how can I do that when you used the last bit of cash I had on hand last week for gas for you to get to work?" His response "I'll leave some money for you in the morning". Well every morning he leaves for work without leaving me any money! He's gonna get an earful when he gets home!
-
....that is certainly not very thoughtful of him !
-
He got an earful when he called me from work yesterday. He admitted that he forgot and made up for it!
-
Mommy, Glad he made it up to you.
Sometimes I just wonder what is up with men. I've got a great one, and I know he is overwhelmed. Men like to fix things, solve problems. With BC, they can't fix anything. They just have to offer support. I know my DH doesn't want to burden me with his worries during this fight.
-
I've got a great one too. He knows that he can't fix everything but its hard for him to be my main supporter and keep up with everything he does. I eased the burden a bit for him by accepting the offers of the ladies in my neighborhood who are retired to give me a ride when they can to my various appointments. He used to get together with a few of his friends occasionally until one moved down to Florida last year. Now most of his remaining friends don't really bother with him and I think its because they think I need him all the time.
-
Mommy, Maybe you need to set up a "play date" for your husband and his friends! ;-) I arranged one for mine. I think it was a relief for him to see friends, talk about the cancer crap, and then move on to other subjects. I know I don't need my DH under foot all of the time, so I picked a day that I knew I would be feeling pretty good.
-
Told him to call his really good friend see if he wants to have a "Guy's Night Out". We used to rent an apartment from the guy's sister and we occasionally go over to help his parents who are older with yard work and the guy's mother makes a meal and sends some of it home with us so I don't have to cook.
-
We have pretty good guys, huh? A couple of times, when i could tell mine just need to talk to someone besides me, i have called the wife of a good friend of his, who he will never call himself, and that friend will never call mine either! once every few years they might call each other! And i would ask her if she would ask her husband to call mine, cause mine would NEVER call him! And so, a little while later, the phone would ring. And i would then go for a walk for an hour, or just generally get lost! And when i got home, sometimes they would still be talking, and mine would be laughing, too! And his whole demeanor would be brightened for the rest of the day. then i would call michelle and thank her. Her man and my man both are just not talkers, but if michelle knew mine really needed a man to talk to, Dave would. Dave was our old boss, where me and my man met, about 18 years ago. we watched their kids grow up! I wish they lived closer. And i wish SlowDeepBreath lived closer too! Then i could meet her wacky daughter too!

Good Evening Goddesses,
I missed you all this weekend. I had my two nieces and we had a great time. Today we went clothes shopping and out to lunch. I love spending time with them, but they wear me out.
Kracker, I hope you're feeling better from your test.
Kathe, I wish we lived closer too!! But, I'm sure you will meet my wacky daughter sometime in the near future. We ARE lucky to have good guys. My poor man has been through a lot with me, and has never once complained. He's definitely a keeper.
Badger, It's good to see you back here. I've missed you!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!!
Love to all!!

Happy Monday to all!!

Hi all! I have also been MIA. Been busy and not spending a lot of time on the computer these days. Doing lots of reading and sewing.
