Implants hurt!!!!!!
Implants placed January of 2013 and 3 months after started to irritate me. I've been battling stabbing pains , almost like a migraine in my chest. I can't explain it. Throbbing .......They LOOK amazing but u can't help but think something is not right. Today I'm almost a year uncomfortable . I need to know if anyone is experiencing this. I had a BMX, Expanders, and Silicone implants ( gummies) placed. My PS is great bad can't see why I am so uncomfortable. He has recommended surgery ASAP to remove implants.

Hi JMP - Just wanted to respond to bump up the thread. I am two years out from the exchange and while I don't have any pain, I do have the pec tightness. It seems unreasonable for you to be in such pain. Maybe you should get a second opinion?

JMP, I would be inclined to trust the expert....Do you trust his opinion? Something must be wrong, you must listen to your body, it is telling you something is wrong too

OMG jmp287, i am on the same boat.
had dmx in jan 2013 with TE and gummies placed in july 2013
have been in pain since. feels like something under my chest is trying to get out!
often times terrible sharp pains that burn and limited range of motion in arms and fatigue.i have to put a towel and ice pack on chest to go to sleep
ps did great looking job and says that removal will not decrease pain that-was from the dmx
i want them out.

I had expanders placed in October 2011 after bilateral mastectomy. I had my implant exchange surgery in July 2012. I have had pain and discomfort also. My PS and I decided it was time to remove the implants. I am wondering if anyone knows what to expect after surgery. My PS said he will just remove the implant and my skin will shrink back down. I wish I could see what I will be left with after implants are out. Has anyone had this procedure done?

Jeanne,
I just read a post yesterday where one of our members had her implants removed and she feels great! Her PS not only removed the implants, but he also removed the extra skin which she said looks great. She is getting along with prosthetics and very happy about it. I've been trying to find her post because I had questions for her, but I can't locate it. Anyway, according to her and her PS the muscles were sewn together and the extra skin removed and she said she looks and feels great! If I find the post I will come back and provide the link.
If my silicone implants ever need replacing, I may just remove them due to chronic pain. Although I have been able to cut waaay down on my meds, I fear I will never find life with implants completely pain free.

Thanks Amy. My PS discussed just removing the implants. I asked about the extra skin and he said it would shrink back down. I may have to talk to him again because I don't want to be left with a saggy pocket of skin. Thanks for your reply! Have a good night!
