    FeelingFeline---yes, that's why my MO was ticked about the ENT PA saying it was hormonal.  The MO says that the diagnosis of the EMT that is caused by hormones is correct, but only when estrogen is high, like in pregnancy, therefore, going off the armidex would not be warranted, as like you said, the Arimidex suppresses the estrogen.

    What bugs me to death is that it started about the time of the Arimidex.  possibly just a coincidence.

    In the grand scheme of things, its just my ear....

    Redheaded- Sounds weird to me that ears have anything to do w/hormones. Please stay on the Arimidex. I would see another ear specialist for sure. There has to be some other reason.

    Since treatment I've had trouble with fullness and ringing in my ears. Pretty sure that it's because of treatment, and since chemo was more than 4 years ago, I think that it has something to do with the AI (exemestane) that I'm taking.

    Thanks, GrammyR.  Doing well, thanks be to God!  My schedule has been changed slightly to accommodate my weakling white blood cells. Also, every 2 weeks (starting this past Thursday), my husband gets to give me a "Neulasta" shot which will boost my WBC. It has to be given in a fatty spot. HA!  So many places, so little time.

    How about you?  You ok?

    Hi Penny,

    I had to give myself the neulasta while on chemo .

    (No way my husband would have been volunteering for that.) So pat on the back for your hubby. 

    Screwing up my courage to do something so unnatural as sticking a needle in my stomach was much worse than the actual jab itself. 

    Neulasta does a good job of boosting WBC but can give you achy bones and flu like feeling for a day or two after each shot, I often thought the "ast" in the name nulasta probably came from the word "nasty".

    Penny- I did my own shots too but there again have a medical background. I just pinched an inch on my belly and never felt a thing. It was the SE of the darned Neulasta that knocked me flat every time. Bone pain. I kept on working thru it but I dreaded the 4th day.

    LindaKr, the ringing in your ears (tinnitus) can definitely be caused by the AI---

    today at 12:45 I am having a thyroid biopsy.  Have had a nodule on my right side of thyroid for a few years and it is bigger than a cm  (bigger than my breast lump) so  I have reluctantly agreed to let them do this.... They will numb me up and then suck out cells sorta like my core biopsy, but they call it fine needle aspiration....I have a friend who is getting a lumpectomy today, so I am praying for her and she prayed for me last night---as she was afraid she couldn't focus today...... I went to hospital at 7 this morning to give her a hug and a 'care kit".  She should be getting her sentinel node injections about now.....Please pray for Mary Jane.

    Love it. I often say something similar. That came about 'cos someone was quoted to me as having said that they wouldn't want to go to mass because what you'd find there is a bunch of hypocrites. I answered without hesitation "Exactly. That's why we're there. We know how much we need it."

    Just had a call from my Endocrinologist--Thyroid biopsy is BENIGN!

    Such a relief.  Still have to monitor the nodule, so will get ultrasound repeated in April. and repeat the blood work in Nov. and April.   God is Good...

    Oh my...I haven't been on for way too long!  I go to my "favorites" on the menu and get hung up on the ones at the top :). Have missed lots...and am glad to see God's working His miracles in all our lives!  AND...you're all such a blessing to me, as I've read a page back & love, love the joyful spirit!!!   Susanna...I'm envisioning my white cells delivering babies today with my neulasta shot :) and the "hospital for sinners!"....yes, yes, yes!!!!!    So thankful for benign tests, correct dosages & God-willing, a good meeting today w/my new oncologist!  In honor of him, an Indian man, I had Indian food last night & will probably weigh more at today's appt than in a very long time...thank you salt...but it was so good!!!  I'll also get results of my echo.  XOXO

    Ronnie-Kay- Hope you like your new MO. Is he part of the same group or a totally new group? I am changing insurance at the end of the year thank God and will have UW physicians who are much closer. I love Indian food and have been eating less meat however its the rice that adds the calories -  ha-- same w /sushi but I still love it.

    So What did you eat at the Indian Restaurant?  I have always been curious about Indian Food, but not familiar enough to try dining out on it.  Suggestions?

    Redheaded1 - I enjoy Indian food but I can't remember the names of everything.  I used to go to a local restaurant that served "buffet-style" and would just sample a little of everything.  They had name tags next to each dish, explaining the main ingredients but I of course cannot remember the names of what I liked best.  I think I liked them all.  The best was dessert - some sort of honey-dipped pastry puffs.

    Yes!  Happy All Saints Day!!! 

    When I was a high school secretary, my fav TAs were Indian gals!  They were smart, kind, warm & friendly.  They knew I loved the food so would bring me dishes!  One time I ate the whole container at lunch and my TA said, " You ate it All...in one meal?"  (Did I say they were thin???). Anyhoo...I always told them when I die, I'm coming back as an Indian gal!  One went to dental school in India and when she came back to visit the first summer, brought me yards of peach colored silk to have an Indian suit made...another said her dad would make it for me...for $25.  Yep...on my bucket list!   

    Rene...there's Pabla downtown Renton...vegetarian Indian...delicious.  They have buffet every day til 3pm!  Tell me when you want to go!  Red....meat dishes-tikka masala or butter chicken are amazing.  The tikka method makes all meat tender.  You can get mild & it's not spicy  (although you need to ask-some have hot seasonings).  Paneer is a cheese that's buttery & delish and is mixed w/tomato sauces w/veggies, etc. The eggplant bharta & spinach dishes are yum...puréed with nice seasoning.  There are pakoras...made with steamed/roasted veggies w/light breading.  I love it all & hope you try it!    Now I'm hungry :)
