Lily-please stay. You don't need to feel you have to be positive. It is very hard to do sometimes to deal with all this stuff, and you need a place to share and we are it.

Bippy- just a word of caution on unemployment. The way they treat that is that you have to be actively looking for work. If they wind of your cancer, then they will make the case you are unable to work and could take away the benefits. Nothing wrong with working the system, we have all paid in to those funds for years, but just be careful what you tell them.

Long day and relaxing with a scary movie (does that make sense?) More tomorrow and rest well friends.

lily, stay. You need to vent and we are here for you!  This is not just for the good days, and don't worry about feeling like you need to be a certain way for us. If you read some of my posts, they are similar at times on different boards....and believe me, I am sure to continue to post all the negative things as I go on this road.....hugs!

Jazzy thanks for the advice, and you are right. Thing is, they already know I was fired for being unavailable to work full time due to dr. Appts and chemo!  Now, IF my boss had worked with me on that, I could still be there.  Hahahaha. They approved me anyways. Theoretically, my onco says I can work though!  Which really makes me giggle, but I can use that if they screw with me. And, I should say that IF I found an employer that would not mind me never being there and sucking at my job, well....then I am hireable in theory!  Yesterday was a joke, they just make you appear and hand out useless flyers. Not one question was asked of me. I learned not to show up for an interview in fuzzy slippers and a bathrobe. Yes, really, they actually have to tell people that!

And, turns out I may take advantage of their retraining opportunities, perhaps for a new career. Will be checking it out.  I would love to get the hell out of the legal field.

Anyways, TGIF hermies! Off to get a chemo cocktail, yum yum and screw you, tumors!

Bippy- sorry you lost your job because of your bc. However, I think you may have some outplacement services through your termination, so you use those when the time comes to find new work. Perhaps you will find your way into something new you enjoy more, many of us have found new ways of living and working post BC.

Lily- I am sorry to hear the blood work results are of concern. Please remain here with us so you have a place to talk about your doc apt next week.

Mommy- sorry you are not feeling well. Hope the rains pass through. It has been rainy here end of the week, and I feel it in a few places too!

Teka- this photo is for you of the blood moon this week. Taken in northern NM in the location made famous by Georgia O'Keefe.

i have looked up all the worse blood results and all are related to liver function, my GGT is 220 and should be between 5 and 40, GOT(AST) and GPT(ALT) are both 100 above the maximum......anyone any idea what this means in cancer terms? I dont drink much alcohol yet this is by far most common cause of high GGT......

Wow, Jazzygirl! That is a marvelous pic...I watched the eclipse all night, thinking to myself that this may be the last one I ever see. I love the night sky.

Onco- yes, very spiritual place. Someone once told me the "heart of the earth" is in New Mexico.

Lili- well, I hope that is not true about your liver. Fatigue can also be residual from your terrible infection and the surgeries.

We will be here with you as you go to see your doctor next week. I know you are scared, I would be too.

Teka- contracts on the new glasses. Rose colored frames, right?

Onco- my suggestion for traveling with dietary restrictions (I have them too) is to scope out the grocery stores in advance and be sure you have a hotel where you can prepare your own meals. I try to avoid eating out a lot when I travel if I possibly can. Many hotels offer breakfast as part of your stay these days, and you can check that out in advance to make sure they have things you can eat.

Maybe we will have a visit together here some day!

    Good Morning Ladies---

Lily please don't leave us, I never have much to say but u know we all care about  so we are here for u. U know I know next to nothing about cancer but I do remember when my liver was a mess and the Doc told me it was like a lifelong alcoholic and I don't drink, but the liver has the qualities of rejuvenating itself somehow--so let's just wait this out.

Welcome Star and Jazzy takes beautiful pics, u'll enjoy all of them. She's our really active one and we always look forward to her adventures.

Mags I hope u feel better now--what a time in the hospital, glad it's over ad I hope u'r having a nice visit.

Teka I don't have much energy but I would sit and talk to you and have good coffee and just get to know you.

Bippy when u go to unemployment I know exactly what u are qualified to do-Tell them u can be a politician, show up when u want, send proxy votes in, have long lunches and naps and tell people what to do via text., I know that's what I would say.

Blondie another thing that is happening to you dammit, I just want u to feel better Damn cancer.

And all who are going thru treatment I wish u all could feel better, but it is different for everyone and it's usually crap.

I started my 3 newist meds today bringing me over 15 different kinds f meds.  This is just plain silly, I'm sure they are all  working against each other--remember the old let's all go to the lobby cartoons, well I picture lets all go to the meds stand and all these pills are dancing along. ooo my SIL just brought me some coffee, he always does when he's home. Sweetheart.

Everyone try to have a decent day.

Good morning hermits! Despite being the active one, I sort of hermitted yesterday and did some final work for the client for the week, also did some home organization. Could not get motivated to go out into the rainy day and evening.

I have dinner with some friends tonight I have not seen in a year. The person hosting it lost her son to cancer earlier this  year. He was in a decline since 2012, rallied for awhile, but lost his battle in the end. I just found out not all that long ago, and sent her a card, but going to find a nice mum to bring her today as we see one another again.

Cami- good to hear from you and hope you are doing okay with your work and can kick back and relax this weekend. How is Joey doing?

Mags- I think your company is in town now and enjoy being taken care of and continue to get better from all you are going through.

Wishing everyone a peaceful day, especially those here in active treatment.

Mommy- glad you are feeling better. We had rain here for a few days too, but it is gone now and it is beautiful out today. I love clothing hung out to dry, the fresh smell after you take them off the line. Can't do that where I live now, but was able to do it when I lived back east!

    hi Hermettes,

Been down for a few days post tx 4. Depressed mainly, trying to rally but just the effort of staying cheery has exhausted me. So, i quit trying to be and let the crappy wave of sadness wash over me. Oddly, feeling better now!  I figure that surviving will be good enough, I do not have to be happy! It takes too much effort.  I promise though to still be funny :)

today i get the dreaded neuplasta shot and that usually heralds the worse SE's to join the party too. It is like an invitation for the Big D, nausea, fatigue, and of course no party is complete without bone aches.  This hermit keeps reminding herself that someday soon, like November 28th but who is keepin track, chemo will be over.

I shall be very hermit like this round, already i had some car sickness yesterday and could not wait to stop moving. That means, no driving!  Prepare yourselves for my fascinating diatribes ladies.

Hope you are all doing well, jazzy love the pics!
