Have to wait to get the results of the CT scan until near the end of the month. Praying hard its good news. I seriously think that after I get the dishes done this morning, I'm gonna try to nap, I'm beat from the lack of sleep because I was in a lot of pain from arthritis (permanent side effect) from foot surgery 13 years ago.
-
-
*Good Morning Hermits*
-
Mommy- wow that is a long time to wait for results but it seems par for the course these days in the healthcare system. Rest well and sorry about the pain in your foot. Something hurts on my body every day it seems....
-
Balloons are cruising through the backyard this morning. I am one lucky girl.
-
Thanks gals. The pain was so bad that it went all the way up my left leg to my hip. I think I'm going to take it every easy today
-
Mommy- have you ever tried to put some lavender oil on your sore foot? Not a panacea, but sometimes it helps what is aching. Can be found at most health food stores, including Whole Foods which I believe is in CT.
-
Blondie, the D ... is that new? ... I hope it's gone now.
Mags, good morning ... hope you are breathing better now that you have antibiotics.
Maiden, thinking of you ... hope a nap makes the day pass smoothly.
-
-
Morning Jazzy ... hope the new contract is going welll ... but I think you said, back a page or two, that you are not at the site today. Did not realize that you have pains ... you are so active and in training too.
MOmmy, foot and leg pain ... sorry to hear that. I know how disabling those pains can be because DH suffers with leg pain. Why do you have to wait so long for CT results?
Morning Teka.
-
Jazzy, the balloons are beautiful ... do they cause traffic problems?
-
I talked to my friend who's coming this weekend. I was a little afraid they might not because of the pneumonia. She said, "You realize I'll be there in 3 days to take care of you?" What a gem.
-
Excellent!
-
Mags, your friend sounds like a gem.
-
Sally- yes, lots of traffic problems that begin a week before and through the final weekend. Restaurants are also packed. We local tend to lay low and/or go out of town this time of the year. It is a huge money maker for the state, millions of dollars in business for the tourism industry, local artists, etc. so important for things to go well.
However, two hot air balloons have been stolen this year so far. One has been found and returned, the other still missing. Where do they think they will sell those, craigs list?
My pains are not bad, just have some arthritic places that seem to be more noticeable now on the AIs. Those can make me stiff sometimes too. Exercise is helping though, the more I exercise, the less it bothers me. My feet are still the worst.
I negotiated to work 3 days a week on site, up to 30 hours a week max. They have no boundaries around healthy work environment there and after my last contract experience, I said that is all I am willing to do. My client supports me on this new arrangement, so I must keep the boundaries.
Mags- I wondered about your company and if you would be able to do that given the change in health. Glad they are going to come and help! Rest well and feel better soon. You are being put through the ringer right now.
Teka- blood moon slide show for you (and others here too).

I made an apt for my next bone density test today and went to my PCP for the paperwork as the MO's office never called back. He wanted me to get an updated scan before I see him again in January.
-
Won't see the onco til then. It stinks because I'll be concerned the whole time til I get the news.
Usually when the arthritis flares up hubby will rub the linament on it. Pain is gone thanks to Tylenol and the weather being much better.
-
like so many right now in our club I am having a really hard time right now , especially emotionally, hitting the red wine, here's to all of us on this horrid rollercoaster
-
Well, Lily, like I always say, it's 5 o'clock somewhere. I hope your red wine is really good.
-
sorry you're having a bad day Lilly. I quit drinking when all this happened and I really miss my red wine.
Glad your back mags, your friend does sound awesome.
I'm depressed too but trying not to be. I have a friend coming over soon and that should help. I managed to make it to the drugstore today and also to make a loaf of banana bread. Those are my big accomplishments!
T -48 hours before my life sucks again with chemo. I'm trying to embrace it but I really hate it. I know it's working killing the bad stuff but I really hate it. I know I don't have a choice but I really hate it. Oh, did I mention that I hate it? Happy hump day Hermies!
-
All I got done today was dishes. Ah well, there's always tommorrow!
-
Bippy and Lily- sorry you are both having a bad day. Bippy, I hope your friend can visit and help to take your mind off this stuff before you have to go back in again. And why wouldn't you hate chemo? There is nothing to like about any of this stuff.
Lili- I am sorry things feel so bad to you. Are you getting out to walk at all? Sometimes just a little walk can lift our spirits.
And you are right so many are struggling here right now. Mags with pneumonia, Bippy down with another trip for chemo, Blondie with her sleep and GI issues, dear Blondie and all she is going through right now. I am glad we can all be here together to care and encourage one another.
Mommy- sounds like an easy day your way and nothing wrong with that either!
Must get ready to head to class and long day tomorrow. Back here on Friday so take good care hermits. Thinking of you all here and wishing better days for everyone.
-

Mommy so sorry, thinking about you feel better.
Jazzy a scan oh ok.....thanks
Bippy....I am so sorry, but it is countdown to the end right, I used to call it the torture chamber....they hated it but I didn't care it was. I knew what was coming after and all the stupid people said, well maybe this time it won't be like that or, it will b fine....oh STFU, lol....

xoxoxoxox
-
Blondie, I am fine. I am hoping you begin to feel better soon ... like now.
-
Hearing what all you gals are going through makes me feel like a real wimp! I have been extremely lucky through all of this. Just got the letter in the mail that my mammo was normal. Yeah! I definitely go through rough, depressive patches, and I drink too much wine. : ) I have been having a pain in my middle back for the past few weeks which I've been slightly worried about. I'm sure it's nothing but sore muscles, but I can't help but go to those dark places...
-
Arthritis is gone this morning, so its back to the daily grind. Hubby better hurry up with my coffee. Rash is looking much better since I have been using the topical steroid that dermatologist prescribed Monday!
On top of this, it turns out I won't have to wait for the 24th to see the onco. She called last night with the results of my CT Scan. It was good news!
-
awww Blondie, sorry you are illing. The throwing up sucks. Hoping you feel better soon.
Lily, any better today? Have some red for me too!
Jazzy, thanks for the support. My friend cheered me up, and brought lovely hats and gifts. Wearing the leopard print bb hat to tx tomorrow!
Monis, your back pain is probably just from all your harvesting. I know what you mean though, already I go to dark places too.
I am trying to be really good with the diet and have superior attitude this tx! Going to eat more fruits and veg vs. the empty processed carbs. I know I cannot do raw food but I got fruit cocktail in real juice, and will be steaming veg., and juicing. Screw this cancer, it is really starting to make me mad!
Off for lovely blood draw soon, then too required appt. at unemployment office to ensure continued benefits. They try to see if they have any matching jobs... Hahahahaha, i have many talents! Projectile pooping, dry heaving, narcolepsy, inability to remember, lack of concentration......preposterous game playing, but if I do not attend they cut off my pitiful benefits. Maybe I will forego my wig just to screw with them
-
MO and Monis,
-
Bippy, that cracked me up about going to unemployment without your wig. I totally think you should. When I was in the emergency room the other day and they were getting ready to take cultures, they gave me a mask to wear that goes over your ears. I only had one hand free, so I'm trying to get to my ears which are under my head cover. Frustrated, I rip off the turban and get the mask on. I never put it back on, either. Let them see the whole ugly truth.
The Zithromax hasn't started doing its magic yet so I'm in the recliner today. Our wonderful new house cleaner is coming to finish up, I'm so grateful she was able to fit us in this week before our company, even though it took her parts of three days to do it, we will find a day every two weeks for her to come and clean, she is very reasonable.
Have a wonderful hermitty day everyone!
-
i dont think I should post here anymore as nothing positive to contribute, getting loads of deliberate hassle from a mad local and its got so bad we now have to pay for legal advice, everyone agrees we are the victims but it still all needs to be dealt with....and stress of everything, this and all the denied recon stuff etc etc, no work and six month check up its all too much. My system constantly churns day and night as though i am facing a major exam.........i sleep in short bursts only.....
-
Lily,
Just continue to leave the negative here to make room for the positive!
*Hugs*
