post surgery bra recommendations
Hello everyone. I'm so thankful I found this site! I recently learned I have DCIS and for several reasons I'm choosing a single mastectomy, scheduled in a few weeks. I will be having reconstruction started at the same time if the surgery goes according to plan. I'm looking for advice and recommendations on comfortable sports bra or post surgery bra. I've been advised to purchase a sports bra with a front zipper/clasp. Any help appreciated!

I used the genie bra from Walmart. I was able to step into it and pull it up, that way I didn't have to lift my arm above my head. They are also stretchy so it helps if you want to add a filler so you look more even in clothing.

You can also buy the Genie bras at Bed, Bath & Beyond and use the 20% coupon.

I wore Hanes zipper front sports bras (HC32) following my mastectomy/TE placement and now following my exchange surgery. They are priced about $20 each and I ordered them from Sears. When I can move to something less supportive, I found that the Coobie bras are perfect (recommended by someone on this website) - $22 each for the wide strap version and ordered from their website.
