Four Flap Breast Reconstruction? Who offers it?

Hi,

This article mentions that there are two sites offering four flap reconstruction...UT Southwestern being one of the sites...any idea where the other site is?   Is it in the US?

    I am just reading this personally I had plenty of skin and stomach material for one breast. This sounds great and makes this doable for thin people. Just had my mammogram and they couldn't believe my results the best she had seen.

    She wrote down my surgeons name I had a diep with a fabulous match. For me it was so emotional (the mastectomy) I really felt deformed and depressed as well as terrified of the cancer.

    The NOLA docs, Dr. Dellacroce, Sullivan, and Trehan, have been doing this for a while--- combining DIEP and GAP flaps( not back of the leg)  for increased volume (see link above --2012 "Breast Reconst"  journal article) .  They call it a "body lift." There are women on the "NOLA in September" thread who have this type of reconstruction.

    Dr. Massey did my bilateral DIEP . She took 4 flaps, ended up getting enough volume from 2. She works out of NOLA for the Stage 1 surgeries at The Breast Center with Dr. Dellacroce, Dr Sullivan and Dr. Trahan. I think it is actually more common now.
