Luncheon today at noon at Carlyle restaurant in Shirlington. See you there!!!
-
I'm so sorry. I forgot the luncheon. I've been just overwhelmed by moving (local) and getting ready for my trip to NOLA for recon in two weeks.
I'm so bummed.
-
Sorry we missed you Mary. Good to hear that you've got your recon scheduled. We will be in your pockets!
-
Mary, sorry we missed you at lunch but will be with you in spirit for your surgery.
Cuetang, please let us know how your appointment goes. If you notice any squirming in your pocket, don't worry as it will just be me.
Next luncheon will be at Clyde' s in Reston October 4th.
-
Hi !!!!! Sorry I have been out of touch for a while. My daughter's Fabulous( and very warm) wedding was on Saturday!
Cuetang, not sure what your app is for, but hope all is good !
Miss you all and hope to see you in October! I also have another survivor who would like to join. (Another va gal who couldn't find the group!)
Hugs to all - judy

Thanks Odie/MomMom/Dessert1st! Felt you guys in my pockets. MO thinks this pesky bb lump is scar tissue, but is deferring to BS on ultrasound and if needed a biopsy. BS appointment next week.
Looking forward to seeing you all in October in my neck of the woods! Clydes in Reston.
-
Cuetang, Wonderful news that MO thinks it's only scar tissue! Will be in your pocket for sure next week when you meet with the BS. Will be thinking of you.Paula
-
Judy, glad the wedding was Fabulous! Look forward to seeing you and your friend next month. The more the merrier!
Cuetang, hooray for scar tissue! Course I will still be in your pocket next week just to annoy you.

-
Odie,
I can't make it next Saturday. I'm helping with Art on the Avenue in Del Ray. Sorry to miss it.
-
I'm in!
Placid-- that sounds like fun. We'll catch you next time.
-
We are going to the beach in Corolla so I can't make this one. I just finished rads last week and am so happy to have the freedom to travel. At the Shenandoah mountains for a church retreat this weekend, and going to Orlando soon with son, DIL and two granddaughters to see the princesses! Freedom is so sweet! Hope to see you next month. Have fun!

hey guys. I could have recon in dec but am just not ready. With the tissue expander having to be removed last fall, the only option for me is flap recon and it is just overwhelming to me. Im moving back to nc and starting a new job in a few weeks so I think im just going along with one boob for a year and then revisit the situation...I hope the expander lasts that long.

I am in with a friend (or maybe 2
See you Saturday!
-
I'm still in NOLA post-DIEP through Sunday, so I won't make it. Hope to see you next month.
-
Looking forward to lunch on Saturday!!
-
Mary-- how did things go? If you need to chat about anything related to the DIEP, feel free to PM me. Happy healing!
Relocatedtarheel-- hopefully we can get one more chance to see you before you head back to NC. As for reconstruction, we all have been through so much, especially you with everything. Be gentle with yourself, and you can always do reconstruction later if you feel like it. There are a bunch of proud non-reconstruction ladies around, we probably just don't notice them when we pass by them everyday! Do whatever makes you happiest. HUGS.
Lunch Ladies-- as always, I have so much fun with you all. Hope to see everyone again next month!
-
Hi all. I would say that DIEP is the toughest surgery so far, but I got through it. I'm glad I waited a bit (well, a few years) to have some time to do things I wanted to do after all of the months of treatment. I'm on the mend 10 days later, but still very tired. The operation was really hard on my system--blood pressure, etc. I had to get 2 units of blood the day after. Coming back to NOVA from NOLA tomorrow. Can't wait!

Safe travels home Mary.
Great day yesterday as I always enjoy seeing everyone. Our next luncheon will be on November 1st at Coyote Grill in Centreville. Hope to see everyone there!
-
