Introducing Myself

I was recently diagnosed with DCIS for the second time. In 2010 I had the same diagnosis and received a lumpectomy and radiation. I've just found out I will need a mastectomy this time around and they will also take lymph nodes. I have an MRI scheduled for Tuesday to make sure the other breast is okay. Hoping and praying it's not in the other breast or the lymph nodes.

Welcome! We are so sorry to hear about your diagnosis and hope that the boards will be a source of comfort and support.

We do hope and pray that the MRI shows that it has not spread to the other breast or lymph nodes.

hello EvaC am new to this site too hope all goes well for you I have had a double lumpectomy my bs is confident he has removed all cancer am on tamoxifen and waiting for 3 weeks of radio it is a roller coaster of emotions . Good luck
