Here's the old joke I always heard when up north: What does Superior have that Duluth doesn't?
Answer - A view of a NICE city across the bay. (With sincere apologies to all from there, including my cousins!)
-
lol
No need to apologize to me for that one. Superior does have its good points too!
-
hi all, been enjoying this gorgeous stretch of weather. Was going to put the plastic film on the front porch windows but just too nice today, darn near 80.
Headed to Milwaukee tomorrow for the last Brewers game of the season. Got a group of ten so tailgating will be fun! Hope this finds everyone doing OK. ♥
-
it was a beautiful day!! just didn't have the heart to put up myFall decorations
don't mind one bit hanging on to summer
wish we had been outdoors instead of watching the dumb football game lol - some things never change - wish DH would give up on DA Bears
-
My niece came over today to help me. So we got the Halloween decorations out. Took a couple of hours and I had to give her a bonus cause of all the stair climbing she had to doo! LOL. But my witches and pumpkin head are out! It was a bit cool and the wind picked up but we got it done. LOL

Hi ladies:) I have been pretty busy with family stuff and not that its turning Fall and colder I have more time online. I am still considering a BMX. I found out today i am definitely in peri-menopause and thats likely the main cause for my libido issues of the past year. I am wondering if anyone knows where on the forum I might find info about breast cancer recurrences after a MX? How rare or common is it?
Also has anyone experience with royal pollen jelly? Anyone have a dr. suggest it? Mine said she was a little familiar with it being suggested for some meno pause symptoms, but didnt know much about its estrogen effects in someone with estrogen positive BC.
-
blue, I've heard of it but have no clue about its estrogenic qualities.
BTW. Did you guys notice this little guy? It's my favorite from when I worked at a dairy. LOL
-
awwwwwwwwww He's cute. My theme in my kitchen is cows!
-
I bet you have collection of Mary's Cows? LOL
-
I wish, but my collection so far is odds and ends of cows. I tell my hubby every time we go by a place that has a huge cow statue out in the front, that we need to get it and put it in the front yard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
-
I have a Mary cow who is playing a violin...
In case anyone else is interested, I'm looking at attending a couple of programs in Madison which occur during the next few weeks. On Friday, October 24 at Monona Terrace, the UW Carbone Center hosts their 13th annual symposium (I went last year - it was quite good, although fairly technical/science oriented). The topic is Delivering High Quality Cancer Care: Charting a New Course for a System in Crisis with a key note speaker from Sloan Kettering. "Patients" can register by the 20th for $40, includes lunch. Doctors & health professionals have to pay more...
The other seminar is more consumer friendly, sponsored by Breast Cancer Recovery, on Saturday, November 1. Called 'Sharing the Knowledge', they will have mostly local presenters including physicians. That one costs $30 before the 17th, $35 after however they offer scholarships; see info on their website. This is the group that also does the Infinite Boundary retreats.
Let me know if you are thinking about going to either one!

What is a Mary Cow?
-
Mary's Moo Moo collection from Enesco is a bunch of cute cow figurines - I have the one with a fiddle. Sounds like Moonie Monica might own a few and Mommy of 2 needs some for her kiitchen!
-
lol
Yeah I do! I used to collect Boyd's Bears but since the store in Gettysburg, PA closed, I haven't gotten anymore

Hey Ladies,
Headed out this weekend to Eau Claire for the BC walk. It wont be a huge as years past, but still a good time. We are staying at the Clarion and always enjoy great food at the Green Mill restaurant....anyone interested or in the area, feel free to stop by. We will be the LOUD bunch...happy hour is at 7pm. The walk is on Saturday
Hoping everyone is well, miss chatting with you great ladies. But I had to get on with my LIFE.
Hugs to all
Cindy

hi all and hey Cindy! Have fun in EC, leaves should be @ peak.
I'm not here as much as I used to be either so drop in any time!
Mary, I know BCR from a Yoga for BC Survivors class they offered a while back. I thought they were a good org but remember Fuzzy's bad experience at one of their Retreats. Wonder how she's doing these days...? ♥
-
I actually called and left a message about a month ago just said I and everybody cared and hoped she is doing ok. No answer.
-
Yes, I thought about Fuzzy also - not everyone would be thrilled with the retreat structure they offer: I can't imagine doing all the outdoor stuff they seem to promote if you have or are at risk for lymphedema, but the founder of BCRecovery (like our ABCD organization) was a wonderful lady...
