TNBC andUterus polyps

Hi, My wife was diagnosed with TNBC stage 1a grade 3 in 2013. Chemo (TC). No periods for 9 months after chemo then on and off again periods. Had an ultrasound today and it showed servral uterin polps along with 17mm endometrial (Uterin wall.) That was main cause for concern. Could chemo cause that and lack of period for 9 months? The gyn said it way out of the norm. Should be 5mm. Biopsy is next. Has anyone had this before? The doctor wont rule out yet the C word yet. We just got over the longest year of our lives for the TNBC and could this be linked or just benign? She has always had long and heavy periods even before TNBC so this is not new but just being exactly one year out from last chemo I am a very concerned husband. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I have recently started bleeding myself and my doctors all think it's my period trying to come back. I'm just over a year out from chemo. I too am concerned about possible uterus or ovary mets. They said it's very unlikely to metastasize to those areas, especially since my BRCA tests were negative so we are just keeping an eye on things for now. I haven't had an ultrasound lately. I had one in April and it was clear. From what I've read though most uterine polyps are benign.  Anyway try not to worry too much. I know it's hard, believe me! Keep us posted.

i just got off the phone 20minutes ago from my doctor who reported benign polyp from a D&C i had a couple weeks ago. i think we will always wonder when things come up if it is cancer. hoping for good outcome for you as well.
