Hi ladies,

It's been a while since I've been on here  - about 4 years. I finally decided to take the plunge and get nipples. My appt is on Monday and I'm getting skate flap with skin grafts. Dr said I will have protective cups sewn on for about a week. He also said not to move and walk around much the first week.

Any advice/tips/encouragement for me? I'm very nervous about this for some reason. More so than all the other surgeries.

Lindy323-  Congrats on your appt!  I am sure others that have had this procedure can give you advice/tips.  I just wanted to offer a bit of encouragement...you deserve the nipples and I am sure it will go great. It has been a long journey for you and you are ready to be at the summit!  Best of luck and give us an update when you can!

Lindy, best of luck! I had graft nipples from the inner thigh almost 5 weeks ago and they look spectacular! After the plastic shields came off, I had to dress them with gelnet gauze for a couple of weeks, then switched to make-up removal pads with a hole cut out for the nipple, just to provide protection in a soft bra. I was terrified too, then didn't want to look at them for a few weeks, but that's just me! I'm like that with every surgery. Now I can't stop smiling at them! My PS says no tummy sleeping or other pressure for six months so they don't get squashed, but apart from that I'm good to go.

I have my nipple surgery scheduled for October 8.  I'm excited but nervous.  Ready to be done with the process!

i had my nipple done on Sept 24th. I go one thurs to get the stitches out.  They look good, not real big or "stick out". PS says 6-8 weeks from now he will do the tattooing . Almost done (yah!!!!)  The procedure was not painful at all. I think I took maybe 4 tylenol. I would love to go to Vinny Myers for the tattooing, but he has a long waiting list.
