Spiritual Support

I am relying a lot on my faith and the prayers of family and friends to guide me and give me strength for the journey ahead. Thinking we need a thread here on our faith. Anyone else?

I completely agree. I am now through my treatment but a spiritual thread would have been great to read as I went through the journey. I read the following everyday. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6. Don't get me wrong I am not someone who reads the Bible all day or anything like that I just love this Proverb gives me hope that there is a plan and that the plan is a good one.

If you click on the "All Topics" button at the top of the left column, then scroll down about half way you will see a heading called "Recovery, Renewal & Hope" and within that heading is a category called "Prayers & Spiritual Inspiration" which has 776 topics contained in it.

There is a Forum for 'Prayers and Spiritual Support'.  This one is for Chemothreapy - Before, During and After'.   Not promote our individual religion/religious texts or proselytize as far as I am concerned.

We, here, come from a very diverse population with so many differences.  I am very sincere and devout in my faith but I also respect others beliefs that are right for them and not expect them to follow mine.

To me, there is a huge difference between saying "my Faith gives me strength" or "Prayers".  I'm more than happy to get heart felt prayers/thoughts.  But that is long way from pushing individuals theologies.

    Just my thoughts!

nor did I mean it to proselytize. I had not found the other forum because it was under recovery and I am a long way from there. Thank you too special k for telling me where to find it.

Don't worry about it okkim. It's hard to figure out how to navigate around the discussion boards when you are new. I think you will find some good groups when you look through the forum SpecialK mentioned. Best Wishes!

Don't worry okkim as ruthbru indicates it is hard to navigate when you are new.  We are here to support you and help you navigate through the site. The forum specialk pointed you too has  a wealth of topics which I didn't find until a few months after joining bc.org and wish I would have found it earlier just to get the support you are speaking of.  Take a preruse through and hope you find a thread. I found two that I just love.
