worried / terrified

Hi folks I have just joined today and may be jumping the gun a bit.

I had carcinoma in situ 9 years ago , I had a lumpectomy and 5 weeks radiation no further treatment required I have had regular mammograms with no problems.

10 weeks ago due to stomach pains I had a CT scan and was told that I had a tumour on my liver and they were 99% sure it was cancer, since then I have had numerous blood tests 3 liver biopsies 2 scopes and an MRI scan everything has came back inconclusive but they are still convinced it's liver cancer (me too) the next stage is a PET scan and a referral back to breast clinic - this has all been through a general surgery consultant have never seen a cancer specialist in these 10 weeks.

10 weeks ago I told my consultant what happened 9 years ago but she dismissed that and said there was no connection now I am worried lol - I have arranged a meeting with her next week - any thoughts on what I should ask would be much appreciated many thanks Moira😃

Hi - until you have pathology it'd be pretty hard to tell if this is recurrent bc or liver cancer - I can't believe your "consultant" dismissed your bc of 9 years ago - also why aren't you seeing an oncologist????  That's who you need to see and ASAP.  Sending hugs from Canada (my mother was born in Glasgow!)

Let us know how you're doing.
