right after infection ended i wore sleeve & glove, but it seemed to cause a little more swelling in hand. so i stopped for a few days. Because of swelling under arm & truncal area I figured out how to step into compression garment for underarm and also began again to try sleeve & glove, because my hand is a bit more swollen than before infection. Really at wits end as to what to do.May be awhile before i get accepted into LE clinic(couple of weeks). Have appt with Oncologist on 17th. Maybe I should just go without compression garments til I get professional opinion. My garments are 6 years old, have not been worn much, but maybe the fit is not right. Please can someone advise. Thank you( also am feeling well today, no fever or cold)

TJ, I get that your garments are old, since you haven't used them much. But if you haven't been measured for six years it's probably best not to wear them at all. Here are some suggestions of what you CAN do while you wait for that appointment with a therapist:

Since you can't be seen promptly, it'll be helpful to relax as much as you can about it and continue to heal from the infections and illness you've been dealing with. The added stress of worrying over what what to do on your own isn't worth it. Do what you can, take it easy, get well, and know that once you get in to see a good therapist you'll be on your way to taking back control of your life.

    Hang in there! (Chocolate helps…)

Probably best to get measured again, since it has been 6 years. You may need a different size.   Hope you get to see a therapist soon.

    Chocolate always helps!
