savi radiation after lumpectomy

I'm a couple of weeks out from finishing up my 2X day 5 day radiation treatment and seem to be feeling a lump where the catheter expansion would have been (or where lump was removed). Has anyone else had this kind of treatment and have you had the same knot?  I lost my nipple and lumpectomy scar is about 2 1/2 " long.  Also I opted out of the aromatase inhibitor treatment since I am 70+ yrs and have a compromised liver from hemochromatosis.  Any input?

I also had the SAVI radiation - last October. I was told it is quite common to develop a seroma ( a build-up of clear bodily fluids in a place where tissue has been removed by surgery) following internal radiation; and that is what happened to me. My doctors said it was not large and that typically the body will absorb it in time. If it's not infected or large, the plan seems to be to let time solve the issue. I imagine that you have an appointment in the near future with one of your physicians and I would have them check it out then.

I had SAVI radiation nearly three years ago.  Yes, I have a lump where the catheter expansion was.  It actually feels like it's on both sides of where the catheter was.  In the middle it gets flatter.  Like Manu14, I developed a seroma.  At my 2-1/2 year check-up, I was told I still had a small one.  Hope this helps some!

Now I have a radiation burn which I didn't expect but it wasn't there when I went back for my skin check.  Did anyone else have this after the Savi catheter?
