Scans showing other things that need to be "monitored"

Hello all I have just finished Chemo for Stage 11 BC would kind of like to relax or celebrate in some form; but I am now being monitored for a small cyst or pancreatic IPMN which has shown up on an abdominal MRI. These apparently are common but have the potential to become malignant, from what I have read they are very often removed surgically. This involves seeing another specialist; has anyone reading seen cysts and lesions on other organs during follow up scans and then had that worry just after finishing up with one set of treatment for BC? Tired of worrying alone.

Hello Satisfaction
Well done for getting through the treatment! Hope you are giving yourself a big pat on the back.
What a pain re developing the cyst. Just when you want a bit of rest and recuperation!
I finished chemo in August 2012 but am on Herceptin until July 2013.
Like you, I've developed a cyst - but mine is an eye cyst - and I'm meeting an ophthalmologist to discuss having it taken out. But, the first oph I saw said he thinks it's benign!
Just had a fatty lump taken out of my knee too. Benign too - just a fatty lump known as a lipoma.
Hopefully your cyst will be benign too!
A chemo nurse said to me that some people just seem to develop cysts more than other people. Just one of those things.
Best wishes
Alice

Yes, satisfaction my CT found benign nodules on my thyroid that are being monitored. Once you get the bc dx they scan and find lots of things that might never really present a problem, but are nevertheless followed relentlessly, lol. I guess the good news is that if anything inside is actually dangerous, the docs will know about it early on.

Dears
we are really worried about my sister since she has abdominal pain, last thursday her CT showed a hypo dense lesion in uncinate process of pancreas measuring about 3.4 * 10.3 mm and a small pre pancreatic lymph node measuring about 6.3 mm there are some pulmonary nodules in sub pleural regions of both lungs that the largest is about 6.6 mm, her radiologist believes in Metastatic but not oncologists, they ordered PET which will be done on Saturday :-( her chemo finished 2 years ago and it's more than a year that Herceptin ended. if there was just pancreatic lesion, doctors would check by Biopsy but chest scan showed those small nodules...her markers & other blood tests are normal. we are worried since if it was pancreatit she would feel nausea, or Amylas would grow while she just have pain and use painkiller. I can not believe it's metastatic although every symptom is in favor of metastasis.
