Cami, LOL, the screen enclosures are pre- fab aluminum factory coated white or bronze. Yeah, was dumb to get white. Shudda asked why all the ones I saw were bronze. We went to check out this contractors work and the owner had a white enclosure. WOW went to OH weLL, after we saw the green growing in a few months. For some reason the bronze ones don't have the fungus/mildew growth that the white does. Really, it's not that you can't see it.
BOOHOOO I can't swim, had a mustard bloom overnight in the pool. It'll take several days to fix. It's an algae. Needs to be shocked with chlorine and then Mustard Treat. Then filtered for 24 hours. Then cleaned again. Phooey.
-
LOL, I do
-
Where's our Susan? YOOHOOOOTTTIEHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
-
I was just going to ask if anyone has heard from Susan? Also blessings. How you guys doing? I think I remember Susan was taken a break?
-
I'm fried, been pontificating on the Constipation thread
How bout you?
-
Sas, Do you suppose the bronze one has some copper in it? That's what they use to keep moss off roofs. I don't remember what you're enclosing. Your pool? If it's outside and will get wet, garden stores sell copper tape to fend off slugs and snails. A strip at the top might work.
-
Hi Wren
just lost my post shucks. I'll ask my pool guy if there's any copper in the bronze colored structures. Highly unlikely though b/c cooper is very very expensive. My pool is already enclosed. I'm just trying to make it girlie pretty. 99% of enclosure are structure and screens. I was trying to get a pic off Houzz.com and lost my post.
Thought I would have decided by this morning to change to arched trelises, but didn't decide till tonight. Rained here ALL day. That would make the curtains messed up. Kind of good. that it did rain

-
Hi everyone.
Well Sas if u need copper at one time many years ago pennies were made of copper--so Chevy should have loads of them, u can always melt those down. She'll have more than enough.
Have we been talking about bras? Well I hardly ever wear one, I can not get a comfortable one. Cuz I have big boobs under my arm pits--I think he left them there if I decided to get new foobs, Like this old body it would make a difference--it doesn't bother me at all-well mine had retired happily years ago as a playground and a restaurant so why bother I was a D cup and holding them up was not fun, except my belly even looks bigger--cuz there's no balance--I've lost all vanity, never had much but I have none now. I just call it my man chest.
I think Susan is taking a break, maybe if I remember right, well someone is I know.
I hope everyone had a nice weekend, the weather today was beautiful, OK I didn't go out but word of mouth travels fast.
Wren u never say to much, but u know so many things about things--u are really sharp.
See Chevy that's the difference--Wren really knows things, u and I just talk a lot and say nothing much except for u insulting me and me insulting u--I guess we know a lot about insulting people, that doesn't bode well actually. And u did say u were 4 feet tall so remember that. I have lost over 2 inches in a short time and I don't like the aides who measure me cuz I think they are cheating my height. I try to stand as straight as I can I don't care how much it hurts but I still can't make another inch--OK I guess men have that feeling sometimes, maybe that's why they get so crabby. I'm just saying... I understand more now. I see the world at a different view point now and I liked it better before. BTW u haven't mentioned the critters next door lately, did u finally eat them? Since they probably stopped giving u eggs. I guess they were to chicken to fight back.
OK I've bored the hell out of everyone, as u can see I took my pain meds--they don't real wire me but just for a while I feel actual energy, then I collapse, but the pain lessons so I'm not complaining.
Tomorrow is shower day, didn't feel like it today so I'll tell u what my fragrance will be I'm already leaning toward forever blossom---but I might go with Tova's signature. We'll see.
-
Cami, I'm shrinking too. I've lost 2" and so has DH. So we still have the same difference only both shorter. What bugs me is they want to calculate my BMI from my new shrunken height, not the old one. It's the difference between being overweight and not. Brats.
-
Sassie didn't change my phone number, my grandson's father has been paying my cell phone for 3 years and stopped, it is ok, NOPE not my kids why would they do that, add me to their plan or between the 3 of them (the older ones) chip in 20 and then I would have one. I like having one, that is how i communicate with the kids cause they don't call me, so we text cept for jamie my youngest daughter, she comes over, we do watch her kids on tuesday so she has too, but whatevcer not the other ones...i would rather text them speak to them, lol. I do have a land line so that is what I speak to my friends on, and not really them...don't have much to say these days, same old thing, I am fine, yes in pain, am sick of being sick and tired of the cancer things, blah blah blah......anyway, i get off on a tangent... -
I was thinking about susan also, hope she is ok...hope everybody has a good night (you all are probably sleeping)...I will be gonna read the paper and then a book for a while...
BYE good night
-
blondy I am still up, starting at the ceiling as usual lol I ll try to sleep now it's 1:20am
Good night
Me too I hope Susan and blessing are ok
-
I am still up and it is 109...omg going downstairs for something....
Goodnight!!
-
Blondie & Envera, good to see ya chit chatting ....
I am out of town, for 1 night.
Susan said she needed to step away from BCO., I sent her a card, via snail mail, I think we all understand how this form of communication can be the best, or difficult, depending on where you are at, emotionally. I hope she comes back, she has so much creative energy.
Catch up with everyone on Wed....
Chevster, pack the capris..!
-
oh, Sas, I am trying to get the pool enclosure, is it a privacy issue ? Or a fashion, decorating component ?
-
Owlettes!!!
I am here lurking, not enough brains to post.
Almost to my 3 month anniversary of the big smack.
Not recovering as quickly as my PCP would like, will see the Neurologist on Wednesday. Still struggling with memory and balance.
At least the MRI did confirm the PRESENCE of a brain.....
Thank y'all for thinking of me!!!!
xoxoxoxoxo
-
HI1 the pool thing is a decorating issue for the majority and a privacy issue for one section. ......:)
-
Sassy, yes, that is the kind DD has in
Orlando! It is a beautiful pool that hardly anyone, ever uses! The
screens are a pain, because the long pine needles keep collecting up there....
they live on a golf course.... Well not ON it, but beside it.Cammi .... what is this "bode well?" What does that even
MEAN? Besides we don't insult each other.... You can't do that when you love
someone.... so THERE...Ha!The Chickens are still alright! Those dinks must have
gone away for the weekend, but left them enough feed, and their cat was in the
garage, in one of their strollers sleeping...Ha! They leave on Friday, and come
back on Sunday.... but they didn't say anything, and we went over yesterday to
take the chickens some corn and salad stuff.... I gave their cat a little can
of cat-food.... Actually I didn't just HAND it to her, I opened it, and put it
in her dish, and she was most happy! She clapped her paws. And the Chickens
gave me 5 eggs! I TOOK them also! Those people don't deserve any more
eggs.I sent them an email, but I guess they just expect me to
take care of things?Oh? I'm taking a shower this morning also! We must have
read each others minds...... I mean they CALL it minds.... don't they? I will
use SOMEthing to smell good.... It's very expensive.... I just know it is...
It says DAWN on the bottle.Yes.... Hiho! Now I gotta FIND them! THAT means I can't
wear the compression stockings WITH them! Damn, you guys are TOUGH!Ha, ha! "is
it a privacy issue ? Or a fashion, decorating component ?" OKay, I can
answer that one.... It is a decorating component, trying to make it more
girlie like.... With lace, and billows of netting.... I KNOW what she wants,
and I would do it too.... Ha! That's the funny
part!Sass! Plant trees! That takes care of the privacy issue.... WHAT in GOD'S name are you doing out there where you need "privacy"???? You're NOT doing THAT are you! Plant hedges.... park old cars around your enclosure.... people can't look in that way...
-
Chevy, some of the times, difficult though b/c neighbor on the non-privacy side has a kids fort in the back yard. He has a birdhouse that's in direct line with my pool. He has a bird watching camera pointed on the bird house. The camera is motion activated.
Those chickens are very good to you. Couldn't find it. There was an old song about "We had some chikens, no eggs would they lay" , but I couldn't find it
Who's going out of Miami in Nov for a cruise?

-
I'm the one on the cruise. I'm waiting for the carpet inspector to check on our 2 yr old carpet. Decided I want it out and redone in wood floors. Never thought I would say that. Since I can't go barefoot anymore, might as well put in wood. Then I don't have to worry about the cats.
Happy Monday!

-
Good morning all!! I'm still lurking around, haven't had much to contribute lately, but love reading all the chatter on here! Seems like most are doing pretty good these days.
Just a little something that made me laugh:

-
OMG! He's a peeper, eh? Just get out your little .22, and shoot it out.... He won't even notice. A bird watcher my a$$....! Did you hear that Spookie?
Cammi..... a bird watcher is someone who thinks they are one with nature.... they use that excuse to take pictures of "birds" sometimes.... they can set up camera's and use that as an excuse. You have to watch out for them....
Sassy, get a big old honkin' camera, with a telephoto lens, and aim it right at his house! Attach a big red blinking light.... and maybe even a motion activated siren! WE'll show HIM!
Smarty, I LOVE our laminate floors! MY DD and I did the bedroom, but called in someone else to do the living/dining room! You will love them. We have an area rug, like an outdoor carpet under the diningroom table & chairs.... That's so the chair wheels don't take off and slide you right out the door!
-
Chevy very good idea thank you
I actually asked him if he was using the camera. His statement said no. His body language read--GUILTY.Smarrty, should be good timing
Hurricane season is over and the weather is usually beautiful with reduced humidity
A bit like April. April is the most consistant and the first two weeks of May. Stunning time. Last of May, then June through August, can be iffy---hot, humid, and wet. September and October Hot and humid. It's the two months that we really watch for blows. Dec and Jan unpredictable with cold and damp, or nice. Last year we had to wear long pants and socks for weeks. February and March, waiting for April. There's the weather report
-
What's wrong with my as$ besides being too big Chevy?
Smaarty, I have laminate all over my house too! You will love it!!
Squalls out on the Gulf Stream, big storm comin soon. Jimmy Buffett. Yep, by Nov you can have your Cheeseburger in Paradise, and not worry, too much!
Sas may be easier just plant bushes. Keep Dini in too!
-
Did I insinuate your adouble-s was..... um......large? I didn't mean to.... Yes I did! If I can have one, so can you.
I went to the tax place! So far, a huge weight has been lifted off my little brain! SHE said they were filled out wrong, and therefore that huge mistake..... She is going to go through them, and call me to see if past years will get us more money back even! I will just be thankful she gets this straightened out! I go back next Monday, to sign, etc.
But MAN, my stomach can't take that much stress! Oh wait! I have to go find some of my "shorter" slacks..... All of you are BRATS!
-
Chevy, This really nice lady named Birdlady, Played with me all day yesterday on the Constipation thread. We were researching together. I was having a blast. Today she won't come out and play. What do I do? Do you think if I invite her here. That will help? Sounds good . Thanks for the advice
Hi Nettie

-
Hi ladiesI haven't been around much, too much going on and to be honest as much as I love it here, it leaves me emotionally drained at times. I guess I needed a break or something. Now I feel guilty coming with a question...but here goes. Tell me to go away if you want

I had a CT scan Friday on my chest. I have never had anything resolved really since my last infection scare that turned out to not be an infection. Last I had heard from the PS that the redness was a result of the radiation "spilling over" to the other side a little.
Well, as of a week ago Friday I noticed pain again in my chest. This time it was like in my sternum area, but still more toward the left. The pain was bad and in addition to that I noticed a raised up area on my chest that wasn' there before. *sigh*
I got the scan Friday and still haven't heard shit back from the MO. I called this morning and let a vm...still no call. I'm sooooo fed up with these doctors. Should I assume no news is good news? I know something is going on, otherwise why the raised area on my chest???
Is it normal to have to wait this long on a freaking scan report that was supposed to be back in the same afternoon??
-
Tang. Some docs are just rude. You can go to facility that owns the CT machine and ask for a copy of the results. All records are in the MEDical Record Department . They will have you sign a release. You need a picture ID. I usually call ahead and ask them to check their record to make sure it's signed before I drive in. Some tend to always add they can give the results so say"Hi I' know you can't give me the results, but can you check to see if it's signed by the radiologist yet . Saves me a drive in when it's not ready" Enough info to work with
Some hospitals have satelite facilities, and may or may not have a mechanism at the satelite facility to pick up records. You may have to go to the main hospital.
That's also, why you want to call ahead
Some have internet portals. There really nice.
Tang don't worry we love you sweetie. I took a break for a couple of weeks too. Sometimes we just need a break from everything. Don't question about popping back in HUGE HUGS sassy
-
Thanks sassy...I'm just wondering if I'm being unreasonable for expecting an answer. It seems like it is long enough, but who knows. -
Tang, most places have a rule that all dx test have to be read in 24 hrs' Varies. But I almost always have my tests in <36 hours.
Labs are different when they are send outs.
