    Love hearing the good news.

    I don't knit. I don't sew. I don't know the Jitterbug and I have no tattoos.

I'm a good reader though! LOL

Just popping in because I haven't been able to get on to the computer.

Have been at a Progressive Christianity conference which has been extremely stimulating. It was called Beyond Borders and about spiritual growth. I haven't felt so spiritually fulfilled for a long time. Wonderful lecture by academics, talks on music and faith, workshops and some young folk presenting their ideas of faith through poetry among other things. I am exhausted but that's fine.

    Big hugs

I think I have found my people!

I was in so much pain and so nauseous in the recovery area after surgery that I finally asked the loud nurse to " Shut the F Up!"  This was after I said "shhh" several times and had asked her kindly to be quieter. But she continued to loudly go on and on and on about her lovely weekend spent in the local mountains. She did quiet down, though.

I don't knit, sew or have tattoos. I do cook, read and have three boys. My latest hobby is kicking cancer's ass with my mad ninja skills AND not slapping people silly when they make asinine comments to me. Such as, "well you got free cosmetic surgery" or "stay positive". Positive, like my nodes.

    Welcome, Poppy!

Blondie- the new job is with a healthcare staffing agency.  I know I will be helping with flu shot clinics but don't know about any long term assignments yet.  I go in on Wednesday for new hire paperwork and orientation.  I've been enjoying not working, but ......

I do knit, crochet, cross stitch, quilt and amass a multitude of projects that I will do "someday".  The upside of being unemployed is having time to work and complete some of those projects.  Now if I could only figure out how to post pictures.

Take care all.  Hope  you are having a restful weekend.

It's fugly here in PA...thunderstorms for the next 3 days.

proudtospin - Swedish Weaving is also known as Swedish Embroidery or Huck Embroidery.  It is done on monks cloth which you purchase by the yard and done with yarn.  You can make so many things with it including afghans, table runners, placemats, etc  Google it!  It really is fun to do.  I work on mine while watching TV and have end worked on it when taking long trips in the car.

Ducky - Am I supposed to be scared???  NOT!!!!  Don't let FK get to you.  You know she loves to pick on you.

    PTS----ignorance is bliss

In those days I thought Komen was the cats ass

    And then the PINKWASHING begun

    The rest is history

BTW the other side of the quilt is purple dragon flies

    Yes it's reversable.

I was more than halfway through making that quilt for FK and then I find out she HATES PINK!  Oh well, I finished it and mailed it to her anyway.  Talk about shutting someone up - I sure did when she opened the box.  She had no idea I was doing this.

proudtospin - Swedish weaving is so fun and relaxing.  You should put it on your to do list.

Jo...I am loving this retirement thing, my last job was stressful (well we all had stress~~) and I love not having to wake up early and drive 36 miles up the dang highway to the office!  it so much fun to be able to spend time just having lunch with a old pal!
