I had a bilateral mastectomy with natural implants on 8/27. Pain has been tolerable. Today, I noticed that one breast is smaller than the other, one is lower that the other from the bottom and they go into my arm pits. Is all of this normal?  I go see my PS on 9/4.

    hi,

I don't know what a natural implant is but this sounds like a good time to call your ps and have them address your concerns. They may even get you in sooner than 9/4. All the best!

I have the gummie bear implants which are more anatomically correct than round implants.

I saw my PS this week for my first follow-up and he said all looks really good.  He took both drains out which felt kind of weird.  I had no idea that much was inside.

He said that the side that had the cancer (right side) was higher because the muscle was tighter and more work was done to that side.  He gave me a Velcro strap to wear directly on the muscle and gave me new exercises.  He said once the muscle relaxes, it will be fine.

He said as for the left side being more under my armpit, they will migrate as those muscles come into shape as well.  The next appointment will come with a new bra/camisole to wear and more instructions.
