prayers needed...part II
please continue to pray for my mother.
yesterday she had back pain and she felt very down. 2 weeks before, she had another horrible pain on the back. she could feel her heart beating on on her back. after that, the pain has gone to the back part of the head. she felt dizziness and vomited twice. the next day everything was ok. i'm just so scared, my sister too. psychologicaly my mother is very depressed. she is saying she don't want to live anymore, she is tired of the continous treatment, she cries everyday telling that growing older is not good. she is talking only about the negatives memories of the past.
at least i had my own apartment on rent and so, sometimes i could go there and feel relaxed. now i must move back because of financial issues. our life is getting a nightmare. when i go back to home, i see her depressed and lamenting and this is horrible. when i go to sleep i see only nightmares. so, the next day i weak up tired and go to work tired. please pray for us....

Oh sweet Lorenzo, you have been so helpful to your mom through this whole thing...you probably have caretaker's burnout by now, especially now that you have to live there...please know that I am praying for you and your entire family...your mom sounds terribly depressed or ready to stop fighting...can you talk to her onc about an antidepressant for her?
Maybe take her to church?
I'm sorry she's in pain and lamenting about the past...nothing is more wasteful than ruminating about the past...can't do anything about it now, can we?
Try to stay strong and remember there are many, many people praying for your whole family....Hang on, Lorenzo...Mena...xo -
Oh Lorenzo...I am praying so hard! Please please talk to her doctor about antideppresants or anti anxiety medication...it can truly make a world of difference in her life!!!
Hugs to you, your mom and whole family.

Its really hard on the caregivers. Please check with your local cancer center for any resources available to assist you. Ours have counselors that are a great help.

Lorenzo,
Please take a break for you and do not feel guilty for doing it. Go for walks sit alone out side of the house,
something for a mini vacation for your mind and heart.
It is okay to do this, and you will feel charged up again.
SO do not forget to take care of you too !

I took care of my mom for a year and caretaker burnout is so common and hard to deal with but we are all here for you. Take care of yourself too!

Peaceful days and nights for you and your mom, Lorenzo -
Praying for you and your mom, Lorenzo. It's so hard to find peace anywhere when you are depressed. I've been there. Have long talks with God. That's what helped me.
God Bless,
Susan -
thank you so much. my mom tried a "calendula ointment" for the hand/foot syndrome and she feels better now and can walk. but she is on panic on chemo, she don't want to have any other Doxil treatment...please pray for us
-
lorenzo, please see if the doctors will give her something for her panic (nerves), and possibly an antidepressant. You DO need to take care of yourself (like the ladies here have said), or you won't be able to take care of your mom.
Prayers from me to you, your mom, and your family.

hello!
well today seems to be a better day!
my mom now can walk without problems, but she has panic everytime she hears about chemo and especially doxil.
plus, i spoke today on phone with the homeowner of my apartment. she lives in south africa and this days she is in greece, near in athens. she sounded a very good lady, she told me that there is no problem if at the moment i have difficulties, she trust me, because until today i was very typical in payments, and she wants to meet me before she returns to africa.
that was a very big relief for me, because i was so scared, i've immagined her as very aggressive, and had some immaginations with my things on the street etc.
thank you so much for your continous prayers.
i know, it's a very tough situation for all of us, everyone has his own problems, but your prayers are so powerful.
i am very stressed but i pray for you every day -
