I don't Knit, but I have tattoos (permanent eye liner).......I sew too.....have 3 sewing machines, all in working order, one an old old antique Singer was bought used....only straight ahead stitch, not even a back up stitch, that still works that made many formals for my friends and myself, wedding party dresses for several wedding before I was 20, and some baby things for friends, and later for my babies. Bought my 2nd Singer machine, with some bells and whistles but never used it much....and I have a serger which I never gave it much use.....because I HAVE to READ DIRECTION....duh....probably would love it
It is 57 degrees and I am loving it...

I have tattoos since surgery (my nips)I sew - a lot!! I have three sewing machines, but really only use one (one is an antique that someone gave my husband long before I met him, one is a 45 year old Elna, that I need to take in and see if it can get cleaned up. It only does straight stitch and zigzag, but it was a WONDERFUL machine for a lot of years. The one that is my pride and joy, though is a Babylock that will practically talk if you let it. I spent a fortune on it, so take REALLY good care of it, as there is no way I could afford to replace it. I'd like to buy a serger, but I think I'll need to make-do with what I've got.
But what I really love to do is dye silk. that is far and away my favorite hobby. I'm not saying I'm great at it or even good at it - just saying I love doing it - it's kinda like making mudpies, but for adults!!

-
GG, I am sort of like you in the 3 machines! one antique treadle, one about 40 yrs old and one expensive thing about 6 years old. Yeap, the new fangled ones I am convinced it will make coffee but the store insists I buy an attachment!!!
-
Ok I'm off to the memorial service - 9 hour drive today.... But thought I would post my good news today...
Good news is I have a consult appt for my reduction to help with breast and neck pain... Bad news is I'm on a wait list for earlier but have an Appt November 4th..
