Sitting by the fire having a single malt scotch in honor of Linda.
Anyone care to join me?
-
I am at the bonfire and have a few things to talk about that Linda and I shared............in PM's she told me of her life and her career............she told me she was an ER Doctor........she was a brilliant woman, and so compassionate............she had a long medical background, and had just gotten a very good job when she was diagnosed with cancer..............she never let anyone know her background........she just wanted to be treated like one of the girls..........and not "The Doctor"...........we became very close and I use to call her Girlie................and she told me.....that is what her Mother would call her..........
Just a few things I remember.......we had many PM's.....she was a compassionate loving person, 'and I will miss her greatly.............rest in peace my dear friend..............
-
Thanks for sharing that Ducky.
It's so wonderful that she trusted you with that information and you had that special bond.
She was always so loving and compassionate.
I never heard her say a bad word about anyone.
I love that she did things on her own terms.
There is so much to learn about how to live your life with grace within her posts.
I'm honored I got to know her from the Bonfire.
-
I too new of her medical background
What a brilliant, loving soul she way
Never bragged about what she new especially when others who claimed to no soo much she stayed quiet.
I read back yesterday a few of her posts especially when she wanted a ride on my broom
It was an honor to no her
I have been waiting quietly here for all of u....thanks for showing up...I needed the huggggg
U will be missed by all of us
I wish I could have a nice stiff drink instead of drinkin water
I raise my glass of water dear Linda...May u rip
Gone but not ever forgotten

I'm new to Bonefire, but knew about it from a few of you.. I lost my dear MIL this week too. I made a picture for a memorial and I thought it would be something Linda liked - She has seen my pictures and commented on them in the past. I knew her from the LE topics.. She was always very helpful.. Here is the PIcture:

I hate October. I hate cancer. I have a sister who had bowel cancer, a brother with prostrate cancer and a 19 year old great nephew with None Hodgkins and that's just a start why is BC so pink and pretty and what about other cancers.
I am mad.

-
What an annoying campaign. Who comes up with this stuff?
-
I feel the people that start something are truly trying to help, BUT and a big BUT - some business person decides - hey we can make money this way and it takes a left turn off the REAL Original plan.....
-
Wanted to let everyone know............Slow had a good scan.....wanted to celebrate with her.........my shy friend thought this was not a good time....I told her anytime there is a good cancer test result its reason to Shout it Out............so happy for you.........see,........I told you I was going to spread the good news...........LOL
