terrified
My mom has breast cancer. I don't know much about it. She is 64. It is 3.5cm and lymph node involved. I am at a lost. I am hurt, angry and scared out of my wits

Hi joanev
The first thing we would suggest is talking to your mom and finding out the details of her diagnosis (Dx) as that is important to get relevant feedback and understand to problems and decisions your mom is facing. There are many forms and degrees of breast cancer and you need to know the details to understand its implications better.
Letting her know that you are scared is not wrong as she will be too. Knowing you are 'in her corner' can be a big psychological boost for her too.
We wish you both the best but knowledge is power in this situation.

Hello joanev, I am so sorry to hear what you and your Mother are going through. I understand just how overwhelmed you feel, but once you have more information, and have a plan in place, it will get better, you won't feel so out of control.
I would suggest you get as much information as you can on your Mothers Pathology, so you know just what she's facing. As the Mods have said, there are so many variations with a BC Dx.
You'll find there is a lot of support here and there is so much reliable information for you to source. Stay away from Google, it is unreliable and can scare you!
I went through BC with my Mother, back in the 90's. I was fortunate to be able to care for her, while she went through surgery etc.
I wish you and your Mother all the very best. Come here often, take some big breaths and just take it a step at a time. Things will fall into place.
Let us know how you both get on!

Joanev, You'll find a lot of excellent information on the Breastcancer.org portion of this website, and great support and info sharing on these discussion boards too. Hopefully your Mom will be getting more details about her diagnosis soon, if she doesn't already have some, so you'll know where to focus your eyes to learn the most relevant things. Just getting started in knowing what you're dealing with helps! Your Mom is lucky to have your support. We're here to support you both.

Hi
I'm 62, was dx over 6 years ago with a large tumour, nodes involved and scared to death. I'm still here, enjoying life...........enjoying grandkids, and cruises.................
Hope your Mum is just the same............

Run, don't walk to see your Mom. It doesn't matter if you don't what to say, just being there is all that matters. If you live away and can't be there, send pictures. Just seeing your face will make her feel better. I promise.
