Are any of you ladies using paw paw? I was told natures sunshine markets it but I don't know if it's a scam or truly an alternative medicine for cancer. Please see attached website:

Thanks

I don't know if it's the same thing, but my Australian mother in law served this to me last summer while I was visiting Down Under..... seems like it's a normal thing they eat in the Northern Territory, as I saw it in the grocery store.

Cannot say that I liked the texture of it. It reminded me of Asparagus or cooked celery, but had a fairly pungent taste.

She did not mention anything preventative about it at all, so cannot say that I know about its healing properties.

Yes I have been taking paw paw for a month now and definitely feel a difference - after reviewing youtube video of Doctor's presentations I'm a believer and figure its worth a try.  Also added Vitamin D to my daily intake.   It seems to have increased my energy levels and reduced side effects of treatment drugs.

I have heard wonderful things about Paw Paw from a remarkable person, who used it with success. I will not share her story for the sake of her privacy, but I do think she should write a book of her experience. After researching further, I used it for a few weeks up to a few days prior to my surgery last week. Since it it said to interfere with the growth of cancer cells, I thought it may keep the cancer from spreading prior to the surgery.

As mentioned in a previous post (by Charlene47) there is a series of approximately 8 short clips on YouTube by Dr. Jerry McLaughlin who received a prestigious award for his Paw Paw Research. The information about his research and findings is remarkable!

I want to incorporate Paw Paw back into my routine, after I finish taking 'after surgery' medicines, but not sure yet how to do so since I opted for a mastectomy with gradual reconstruction, because of the invasive type of breast cancer I was diagnosed with. I need to learn more first to be sure it will not affect the expander that was inserted after the mastectomy.

Hello Jak, welcome to BCO. This thread has been inactive for a number of years so we might suggest that you create a new topic on paw paw if you like. Creating a new topic is a simple process and you may get much more discussion if you start one.

If you have any questions for us in the future feel free to PM us.

I would like to try this also but holding off for now b/c my doc has me on megadoses of vit C, which interferes with it.  Or it interferes with C, can't remember.  I've read some great stuff about it.
