New pain a month after biopsy - concerned

Hello. I had a stereotactic biopsy for microcalcifications just over a month ago. Thankfully the results were benign and the healing process was uncomplicated. I did have a little more bleeding than is typical and also developed a small hematoma but the surgeon wasn't concerned with either. Within a couple of weeks I was feeling like myself again with only a tiny bit of discomfort occasionally.

Several days ago I started having moments of twinging pain within my breast, close to the incision site, that at times extended to the other side. I don't know if I would call it shooting or burning, but more like a quick "ouch" and then it was gone. After a few days of that the pains were more frequent and by yesterday had become more persistent. At the moment I'm having an almost constant kind of achy pain that flares once in a while and makes me sit up straight. Externally all looks fine and I can still feel a small hematoma and what I think is probably scar tissue under the incision. I did have a titanium clip placed after the procedure.

I've read a lot of posts that sound similar so I know I'm not alone in this, but the fact that I thought it was healed and now hurts again is concerning me. Of course this happens on a weekend and I'd rather not rush to urgent care for it. I am planning to check in with my Doc on Monday. Any guidance or advice you can offer is appreciated!

It is nerves trying to regenerate. Those zapping, zinging pains are very common. I had them for a long time after biopsies.

Thank you, MelissaDallas... I am hoping that's what it is and that it doesn't last long. Wasn't sure if a core biopsy would cause it or if that was more common after excisional.

had the same pains for well over a month 'including under the arm as that was close to biopsy site. It took a while for them to subside. I was nervous as well as I thought it was the cancer "growing" but was assured it was due to a rough biopsy. Looking back it makes sense. Bruising took over a month to go away as well.
