So my new Juzo Tie Dye Sleeve is too tight.  It is the same size & compression that I wear by Juzu...The only difference is it is dyed.

I was thinking about trying to stretch it.  Do you think it would work??   You know how we stretch the thumb on our gauntlets.  I know if I try it & it doesnt work...I am stuck with the sleeve.  So I was hoping for opinions on if you think it might work- to help me decide if I should try it or not. :)

I hope someone else can chime it, as I have no experience with stretching a sleeve.

Dejaboo, if you can return it for a larger size, try that before trying to stretch it. I wear a small in a WearEase beige Slimmer, but a medium in their black Slimmer, and I find that holds true for all my darker garments. Better to get the right size, even if it takes extra time, than to have to fuss with constantly stretching out a garment that doesn't fit. If the sleeve is stretched out and dried, then if it gets wet (think sweat or rain or…) it'll shrink again. Not good. We pay enough for these things, they need to fit.

    JMHO!

Thats a very good point Binney about it maybe stretching & then shrinking again anyway.

I did think about ordering the next size up.  But for now I am just going to skip it.  I dont have much convidence in it fitting right-after trying 4 sleeves & none fitting right...While I am thrilled they can be returned!  I have spent $20 sending them back & I still have no sleeve : (

    Well, phooey, Dejaboo!

In that case, if you're keeping this one, try stretching it the night before you wear it over a large can (say, a 28-oz. tomato can). I have a custom sleeve that's slightly too tight in the upper arm and I stretch it overnight before wearing it on my EZy-AsABC donning devise:

    http://www.ezyasabc.com

(I happen to love this devise, BTW--a bit of an initial investment, but incredibly sturdy, I can travel with it easily, and I never smack myself in the jaw anymore.)

Some people stretch their garments when they're wet, but I've never tried that, and just do it dry.

Let us know what you discover!
    Hugs,
    Binney

No Binney what you said made sense about the sleeve -even if it did stretch it -it would shrink back each time.  And this sleeve wasnt a little tight like my black sleeve- It was id say about 4 times tighter.  So I knew it wasnt a good idea to try to stretch it.  I sent it back last week.

Maybe a sale will come up & I will try again in the next size.  For now I will wear the plain brown wrapper :(

Has anyone ever tried to dye an old sleeve??
