Class of 2009, as we approach 5 years, how are you?
Got my biopsy results the day after Labor Day 2009.
Closing in on 5 years. Looks like I am going to be taking a shot at 5 more years of meds.
Onc asked if I wanted to move to NP. While I can see the benefit, if I want to stop or change AI's I would rather see him.
No blood work for the first time ever.
I know for some people 5 years is a big deal, but with ER+, I don't feel like there is some magic finish line, especially since I am staying on meds for now.
Plus LE really keeps me from feeling normal, especially in the summer. (Maybe when it gets cold I will have some magic moving on moment.)
So '09 'ers. How are you doing? Does it feel like a finish line or a transition.
(BTW I love when people get excited about their cancerversary, I just have never really felt it myself.)
Maybe a big ol' COOKIE would do the trick?

London-Virgina of course I remember you and skyping when I was stuck at home during treatment. I saw a story about a condo they are building in London with a swimming pool in the sky, and thought if you move there I can come for a swim! HA!

first time on this site and it's uplifting to read about people who have made it to five years. i'm into this only 6 months - no surgery/stage 4 (liver and bones), but i want to be here in another 10 years or even 20!
