Met with surgeon today and was diagnosed with DCIS, stage 0 Grade 2.  Crazy day...Emotionally drained and yet I feel relieved that the crazy waiting is over. Lots of new waits, but at least I know where I am and this is not a death sentence. I've found myself assuring everyone that it's going to be ok.

This website has been a godsend...I'll catch up soon

Hi Muzakmom, so sorry that you have to be here. I had similar Dx and printed out Beesie's DCIS  information and gave it to friends and my Daughter, so they knew exactly what it was all about.

That really settled a lot of nerves and educated all those people so they could confidently pass on the information, to others.

I wish you all the very best, you'll have some decisions to make now. Take it easy, do what is right for you and your family!

As Ariom mentioned, Bessie has created a detailed thread all about DCIS that you might like to check out to help you understand all of this better.

    Here is the link: DCIS
