Bee Venom/Breast Cancer

I have been taking my barefoot walks on the beach every evening at sunset while I am fortunate enough to live close to the water. Loving it for as long as I can. Last night while I was taking my walk-  I stepped on a bee. I didn't know what it was, thought I had stepped on a fish hook that went straight into my foot. Really hurt. Anyway, after I got all the sand off my foot, I saw that it was. and I was relieved to know that it was a bee sting. I actually had to limp for at least 30-40 min before I could stand to walk again. Made it back home and I thought "wow that bee got me good, I could feel the venom being pumped into my foot when it stung me." I had recalled some studies and news shows about bee venom and cancer and it prompted me to look and see where things stand in this research. This article just came in yesterday, so thought I would share in case anyone is interested. It sure made me get over being stung by that bee..and  I thought I'd do it again, several times a week if I needed to, if there was a guarantee that tumors would not form and cancer would be held at bay. Anyway, Save the bees!

    Oh, I just noticed that someone else had already posted on this forum about the bee venom.

    Just remember that bee stings in allergic people (and my allergist developed it after her first bite and nearly died) can kill.

    This may be OT but my grandfather was a beekeeper and we used to collect bee venom. In case anyone wonders how we got it out of the little suckers I can explain the process. We used a piece of glass with wires going over it and electric current going through the wires. That contraption was placed in the hive, bees step on the wires get a schock, get mad and sting the glass. The current was very precicely controlled as not to kill too many bees. Then the glass is scraped clear with a razor blade. We sold the venom for pharmaceutical companies to make topical lotions.
