Biopsy on Wed-advise?

I posted a couple wks ago-a red mark about the size of my pinky appeared, was pretty bright. After about 1.5 wks it has gotten pink/brown and a bit lighter if that makes sense. It seems to be darker in the am and after showers. I saw the surgeon, she wasn't concerned. But Im 3 wks out with this and though nothing is changed, Im concerned. With that, I scheduled a biopsy on Wed. I read some past stories and a few woman who seemed to present as me which is why I want to be sure.

A few questions:

Does it matter if I had a normal breast MRI 5 months ago?

If the biopsy is clear-does that mean Im clear of IBC or should more tests follow?

I don't want to mess around with a mark that shouldn't be there, and though it IS lighter-its still there!

Glad you have a biopsy scheduled. No one here can give you any advice or guess at what it might be as we are not doctors and not even a doctor would advise you on an Internet forum. What we can give is support and encouragement and the comfort of knowing that the majority of breast issues are benign. Best of luck.

Thanks for your response. The drs don't seem on it with this type of cancer here. Do you know if they take multiple biopsies of the spot or just one? Just want to be sure they are doing what they need to do tomorrow to hopefully rule it out.

I teach elementary school, so I can't even begin to guess how your biopsy will be done! I knew how my biopsies, I had two, were being done because my doc carefully explained it to me and I asked questions. Before they start, don't hesitate to ask about the biopsy and ask every step of the way if you want to. BTW, ibc is really uncommon. All the best.

The number of biopsies will depend upon what the symptoms present as and where. Only the examining doctor can decide that as no one can diagnose here. They will do what they feel is required, so you'll need to accept their professional decision, but you are entitled to ask questions, as exbrnxgrl said.
