A Retreat for Peaceful Contemplation

Gma deleted all her posts that basically told us to shut up and yet when she wanted to comment, she felt free to. There wasn`t long discourses on this thread until now, brought to a head by people leaving and commenting as they left. I can`t copy and paste Gma`s original threat as it is deleted, but here is one reaction:

GmaFoley- sorry you feel that way . I guess I will sign off this thread. This is BC site after all.

Page 60 had my request - I only deleted pictures that I was trying to keep up with Lisa.. and felt I got caught up with a "top this" attitude. I didn't want that:

That isn't what I meant Barbe - *Hugs* - You commenting on a picture is no problem. They have been short and sweet.
We have always kept the comments to a minimum - PMs for long conversations. That was why I gave permission to discuss this. This was supposed to be a quiet/calming picture only type of topic - The Premise of Topic is below:
"I have been told by many, that my pictures are so peaceful. So here is Picture #1 to start your journey. Come here to retreat whenever you like and remember to breathe. Know that God and the ladies on this board are here for you. Please keep long conversations in PMs to each other."
I don't find, I am feeling peaceful here anymore... That is all.. I feel like it is a competition on who has the fanciest picture.. They are beautiful.. I just feel it has grown into something else. Maybe just a crappy hot day today. I think I will leave it to you all to do what you will.

This is my picture - quiet peaceful with a short note ... Hoping to bring a bit of peace to this horrible time on my topic.
Nancy, Ducky, Slow, and FK - thank you, but sometimes you just have to Let Go and Let God and His beauty take
care of the hardening in the hearts of others.

Gma, I thought it was going brilliantly! Some pages had short notes or comments and other had nothing at all. As a viewer and a not-often poster, I enjoyed the "slide-show" of pic after pic. This is not a competititon and I never saw it as so, so maybe that is just in some minds, but certainly not all.
-
just to add... I never saw this as a competition and I loved seeing all the pictures.

WHATEVER..................

LOL Ducky, but in a sad way. That's a pretty messed up thing to do to Foley's thread. Definitely building some bad karma -- and you know that I know of what I speak.
-
My heart isn`t hardened Gma, I still enjoy a great pic!!

I never had a hard heart either Barbe. Been on the BCO for ten years and have met some wonderful people.

SCLisa, I always wanted to go to the painted desert. It looks too hot for me though..
-
I can handle heat if it`s a dry heat like Vegas. Humidity makes it hard for me to breathe here sometimes.
-
It is dry heat Barbe...
It is still there..

Thank you for these wonderful pictures. Thank you also for slowing it down a bit. If I see one picture, I spend some time looking at it. If I see that there are several, I feel like I have to see them all, now. I spend almost zero time on each. That's just me, I know. {{{hugs}}}

We are enjoying all the lovely pictures, too, ladies. We appreciate the sentiment of this thread, and the peaceful intention, and hope it continues now that you're back on track.
Thanks for your diligence to get back to what really matters and what doesn't.
